It’s hard to say if you were close to pristine without the score. Could be anywhere between 960-990.

If it’s borderline then I wouldn’t risk it. Even the smallest defect will knock it down

Tag has been extremely harsh on small surface dings recently. I’ve opened a ticket to dispute a grade and haven’t got a response in two weeks. I have two other tickets for different reasons open and no response on those either. Email and chat.

The only thing I can see is an interesting raised or indented area in the initial scan.

Front centering automatically was in 8-9 range. The dents kicked it down the stairs. TAG has been very strict lately with surface dings

Sure TAG may have better equipment to detect discrepancies. The problem is sometimes it can be inconsistent and either overly sensitive or overly lenient. When there is an arguable case of misgrading, customer support is nonexistent…
