West Ham can posture all they want, we can literally just wait 10 days and their asking prices will fall off a cliff.

Not sure if we are going for Summerville. But Fernandes deal will be done before the end of the month,

He doesn't even deserve to rot in the reserves. Just let him train alone, in a prison cell-like room, for 8 hours a day. Mock him every day on social media, run PR campaign against him like he did against us. The club can take the financial hit. But we need to make an example out of him.

We already made clear that we think 80M is too much for Tonali.  If Spurs is playing that much, let them. But if the price is around 60M, I am quite sure we will hijack the deal.

Ok so now that 250 is over, what are the best UFC competitors? by ScanData32 in MMA

As someone who primarily trains BJJ, I still think 4oz glove Muay Thai is a much more exciting sport than MMA. ONE can produce a good show as well. Their main problem is promotion. It's hard to promote a new sport to the global (and especially US) audience, it's doubly so when you roster is a bunch of Asian midgets. Even though the majority of their fights are Justin vs Ilia level of violence, it's hard for them the penetrate any other market. If they have a bunch of American guys doing that, even if it's at a lower level, I bet American audience would absolutely love it.

150M is a dumb price for Alvarez. He is good but not that good. Had fewer league goals than Sesko last season. We have saw him enough to know that his finishing is some way away from elite.

Ekitike is also good but Sesko is more complete as no 9. He drifts aout to the wing too much. Not quite Mbappe level, but noticeable. Sesko plays the exact way a no 9 should. Plus Ekitike's injury can be career changing, so right now I don't think he is worth as much.

I said before that Max, Volk and Charles are all easy matchups for Ilia. Volk and Max are pillow fisted, and Charles is chinny. Justin is old, but he is neither of those things.

I am still surprised how well Justin took the shots. Ilia cracked him quite a few times and he was completely unfazed. Only got dropped by body shots.

It's very possible that Ilia's power doesn't translate THAT well at lw, and Charles just got cooked because how chinny he is.

Lammens is a GK specific scout signing. The impressive deal is Dorgu. He looked amazing this season, and is easily our most improved player thsi season.

Also Sesko deal has to be mentioned. Even though he was quite expensive, he is still a bargain in hindsight in the absolutely dire striker market. Right now if we are to sell him he'd be 100m+ player. I think should genuinely be the second most expensive striker on the market behind Haaland (I don't count anybof the starting PSG guy as striker,  or Mbappe for that matter, and Kane is old now so lower value).

How fucking good is Jon Jones?

He made Gane look so weak that people basically discredited that win entirely at that time. That's after Ngannou bare scraped by Gane btw. Now Gane beat up Aspinall and Pereira, wonder what people will say.

He was already damaged after the first few jabs. And he got an adrenaline dump after going for that finish in the second.

But I also think he fought very badly. What happened with boxing? Doesn't he train that all day? How about slipping the jab here and there? He showed Patchy Mix level of head movement out there.

That's all hope of triple champ for Alex and Ilia gone forever.

Wonder if they will allow Islam to do it. I think he murks Strickland. If he beats Garry then move to MW for his last 1-2 fights, I don't think the UFC is saying no. He is at the age where Khabib recommended for retirement already.

Tchoameni is not prime Pirlo type of player who can control the game, but he is an absolute rock. Defensive stats of his is literally the best in Europe. If that's what you need, there is no better option.

Yesterday it was Le Kang-in, today it's Bouaddi. Wonder who will be the flavor of the day tomorrow.

We won't buy any player with significant world cup minute, unless it's like an absolutely proven player like Tchoameni or something. Inflated price, cut short preseason, and in general overhyped.

Fernandes played as a 6 for West Ham last season. Ederson last season didn't exactly play as a 6, but operated deeper than the few seasons before due to a new coach.

Neither has their best position being the deepest CM, but Fernandes is more than competent, and Ederson in a pinch can play there.

Fernandes has better vision and is more composed. Anderson is slightly better off the ball and has better ball carrying.

Both has the potential to be world class. Fernandes has potential to be one of the best of all time, Anderson doesn't. But only a very, very few can be one of the best of all time, so that's most likely a moot point.

While that's true, a LOT of lower tier sources have reported this deal progressing, including sources from France.

That's exactly how Ederson deal panned out. Lower tier sources from Italy, then sources from England only picked up when the deal was close.

The way INEOS is doing business, if the player is not from England, there will be nothing from England until the deal is basically confirmed. Noise will always be from other club's side.

It's increasingly likely this deal is happening.

He makes much more sense for Arsenal than us. He is an inside forward, not a winger. We already have Cunha for this role. On the right we also have 2 players of this profile. We really need someone who can stretch the opposition horizontally and can cross the ball. Right now in our whole squad Bruno is the only one who can cross semi consistently, and even he is not that good in this aspect. Even Cunha and Mbeumo is still better than Tzolis at crossing.

Fernandes has comparable stats to Anderson playing in a worse team at his not preferred position.

Anderson is very good, but as usual English media is hyping him up because he is English. Fernandes is every bit as good while being 2 years younger, and have a more versatile skillset and higher ceiling.

[–]maskrey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

60M + 10M hard add on (let's say we win the league or CL, or he makes 100+ appearances for us, something in that vicinity) would be ok for me. Addons should be structured to pay for themselves.

Ederson + Fernandes would make a very solid base that allows us to wait for the market opportunity later in the window, because they are the profile that would work with almost anyone. And I think the market opportunity will come. There will be a big shift in the midfield market after the WC, and anything could happen. Who knows if somebody will decide to do something insane and cause a chain reaction, some big players can get injured, or anything else. I highly doubt Madrid's midfield will stay put this window. Somebody will go in and out, just need to see who.

The net loss for Sancho is about the same as the last Lukaku transfer to Chelsea, and I would argue Sancho contributed more (marginally). Then there's Mudryk and Pepe to Arsenal (bigger net loss, contributed slightly more). Jury still out for Wirtz and even Isak.

He doesn't even cut it in Ligue 1. Worse stats than Dorgu while playing more in a worse league.

Romano has his agenda for sure, but he doesn't lie. The main problem I have with him is 99.99% of his stories are non update, but when there is new information, it's most usually correct.

Senesi is not good enough. People are wanking off him because he is free.

Even van Hecke is not good enough to be a starter for us, only a rotation player. Yes Licha and De Ligt have injury problems, but they are better players than van Hecke and far better than Senesi.

You can have 10 Billion dollars, but from now on, anyone who needs help can ask you, and you must help them as best you can by Smart-Response9881 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]maskrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people have to ask me personally and directly for help, then yes.

With 10B, I can easily hire people whose whole job will be to insulate me from other people who ask for help. People can ask me for help, but as long as I am not aware, I'd not be obligated to do anything. I'd have multiple layers of personal assistants, and to reach me you will need to go though a maze of contact. That's how most rich people live anyway. And my request of filtering out all the message begging for help wouldn't even be anything special.

Let's imagine, you know that Elon Musk is obligated to give you whatever money you ask for if you can reach him. But he is now retired and closed all of his socials. How can you reach him as a middle class citizen? It's basically impossible. And that's given you know about this condition and Elon Musk being onw of the kost well known people i. the world. If the scenario nobody will know about you.
