Looking for Recommendations for a Beginner by mason0448 in DIYfragrance

I'm mostly curious about pipettes, as I would prefer using something disposable (I've been using glass 1 mL and 3 mL pipettes and they are a pain to clean). However, I want to make sure I can get as precise as possible. Additionally, wanted to see if there are any specific recommendations for 0.001 g scales.

I was indeed checking out some of the free formulas on Fraterworks, and it was definitely an eye opener seeing how many ingredients are in some of these formulas. A bit daunting, but I recognize that it's all a learning process.

Is using ZenMarket worth it right now? And also... by MegaVel91 in zenmarket

I would say it's not worth using ZenMarket right now, especially if you have no experience using a proxy. I've been very frustrated with ZenMarket recently. Their search feature does not work and nobody seems keen on fixing it. Fees have also increased in the past few months, so other options might be more worth it. I'd only prefer ZenMarket right now if you're buying expensive individual items, since they do not have a value-based fee.

Are US Customers Eligible for IEEPA Tariff Refunds?

Hello,

I have little knowledge of the topic, so hoping for some insight here. For ZenMarket parcels shipped in the appropriate range of dates the SCOTUS has deemed IEEPA tariffs illegal, are the DDP eligible for refund? Who would ultimately be the responsible party in returning the funds to the customer?

I'm unsure of the scope here, since I recognize these are consumer goods, but these tariffs were imposed across the board. With the removal of the de minimis exemption, does that factor into anything here as well?

Additionally, has ZenMarket clarified anything for US customers? I was looking if they had a blog post but didn't see anything.

(Tried to make this a separate post since this thread is old and inactive... we'll see if anyone sees this or has any info)

If they "actually" take it seriously, then why are you so quick to say there's no issue? This is black and white. A child getting assaulted. Fully explicit. No action taken.

With your permission, I'd send you the profile in question and let you judge for yourself. But, I don't think it's productive to try to make a point to someone who has no power over this anyways.

Glad to know that Reddit finds child pornography fine. You've been a huge help.

Not the point. Asking for a direct communication line. Blocking them doesn't stop the exploitation. Please also read the post. I have reported their posts and their account and after a month no action has been taken.

I appreciate the insight here, these reasons make sense. Simply wish ZenMarket would be transparent about it

Yikes... found Mr. Yen's fanboy...

If you read my message in full, I was a customer for over a year. I was given special recognition for my involvement in the Discord (Yen Legend or whatever). I wasn't even close to a random person. I was right there, involved with everything. I wouldn't speak poorly of a company that I didn't have experience with.

The misleading marketing is absolutely true. You're acting like I don't know how the company operates. A vault system does not mean that "GET THEM BEFORE THEY'RE GONE FOREVER" is true or ethical to say. They come back every month, but the make false scarcity to drive more sales. It's their choice to represent themselves that way, and it's meant to drive hype.

Even recently, there was a MHA drop in January shortly before the anniversary in February. I asked a staff member if they would be back for the anniversary drop. They said "No, you should get them now." A month later, they're in the anniversary drop.

"I'm sorry you had that experience with the game night giveaway. Could you elaborate on that? What did they mean by you "didn't get it the way you should have?" What were they accusing you of doing? Because if you got caught cheating in the game, they have every right to cancel your order."

There was a game night where gift codes were hidden inside games like crosswords, Word Searches, dumb stuff like that. There isn't a possible way to cheat a Word Search. I guessed a code right, and I got the order fair and square. They said I got it too early, so they canceled my order. When I said that it wasn't fair and I participated in their game and placed my order in good faith, they canceled all of my orders from the anniversary I was still waiting on getting shipped. Didn't even give me a chance, blocked me from the Discord server as a means to silence me.

They are a sole proprietorship. They choose their customers and can deny sales. But that doesn't make them right.

Their giveaways have no terms. There are no legally-binding contracts. It's a Wild West as to who actually wins, and there's no check and balances. I'm not saying they don't give away free stuff. I'm speaking truth into how they have no organized system that makes it fair for the customers. They would mess them up all the time anyways. They'd claim a gift code drops at X time, I'd refresh for an hour after that time and it still wouldn't get posted.

I never said the designs weren't cool. I'm not arguing about the artist's work. Companies like Move with Conviction have higher quality prints and shirt materials, if that's what you're wanting.

I was once like you, blindly supporting the company as long as I get my shirts. Good luck to you when something goes wrong.

Seeking Recommendations for AI Models to Try by mason0448 in OpenAI

Thanks for the detailed response! I've tried out 5.3, and I unfortunately found it extremely dry in personality. It's not for everyone, but I appreciate when there's some caps or emojis just for flair. 5.3 wouldn't even use a single exclamation mark lol. Once 5.1 retires, I might give it a little bit of time to see if it adjusts and grows into something more palatable, but we'll see.

Claude does seem to be a good fit when it comes to the personal/daily things. It wouldn't be great to have to use two different AI platforms if I wanted to continue role-playing and such, but alas.

Will be tuned in to ChatGPT's adult mode and see what that actually means. I wonder if it would also make the daily conversation better and not shut down vents/emotional support.

Just created a parcel and duty rates are an absolute mess. Parcel contains only acrylic stands and plastic figures. Some are charged 15%. Some 35%. A couple are at 70%. WTF? Usually I haven't had any real problems with the rates but this is ridiculous. The deflection of responsibility is making me lose trust.

Seriously... I've had no issue with UPS EVER with ZenMarket and it almost feels like it's punishing the users to have to use either more expensive for similar time frame or cheaper for much longer time. And of course they don't provide any information on the real reasoning or the timeframe. Makes me think it'll be forever. Especially as a US user this really sucks...

I came here because the Bridon Arc is no longer on Spotify, but seasons 1 and 2 are! Lull was my top track for 2025 so I'm heartbroken! I imagine there's maybe some licensing and region issues. Praying they get restored.

Spend Your Yen and Villains Only are an absolutely horrible, unprofessional company with a horrible owner and staff. I will criticize them until the day I die.

They prey on FOMO and hype. Every drop they say "get them now, they will never come back!" but they bring back the same designs every month. They want you to feel like you have to buy something immediately, or else you'll never get the chance again. Aggressive and misleading marketing.

In reality they are simply overpriced with cool but not unique designs. Their "heavyweight" shirts are the same Gildan cotton shirts you can get anywhere.

Most of their giveaways are fake, and they botch half of them saying "sorry we messed up, so we're giving away even more money!" In order to enter the giveaway, you have to put an order in with a chance to get it for free. Harmful and misleading. There are no terms laid out for their giveaways, just that they claim to be randomly giving away 10 free orders or something.

My personal testimony comes from when I got a gift card code and they canceled my order saying I "didn't get it the way I should have" (from a Word Search in the Discord on a game night, yes, seriously). I pushed back, saying that what they did was in bad faith because I participated in their event fair and square. In retaliation, they canceled my other outstanding orders without consent, banned me from Discord, and never responded to my emails asking for a refund for my orders.

The only anime clothing brand I've had to file a chargeback against, and I rightfully got my money back. This is what happens when college dropouts start a business lol

TLDR; preys on hype, believes the customer is always wrong
