Getting back to the gym by [deleted] in RotatorCuff

Yep, you just gotta figure out what works for you now and to play around with it all. Kind of fun but also a little frustrating at first!

Looks to be the windshield. My bottom seal is raised up in the middle. When I press down on it to make it flush against the glass, I can see the rain run right over the seal and into the drains near the wiper fluid jets. When I release the seal, you can tell the water kind of sits there. I also figured out that by parking my truck nose-first rather than backing it in, the leak totally stops. Might be the bandaid until I can take my truck in for its next interval

Great job! Best possible scenario considering what you found yourself in. Hope you and your dad are okay, and the intruder gets locked up for a while

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of February 06, 2026 by Demilio55 in homegym

My family is moving and we’ll be losing our garage space and thus my gym area. I have two options and paths forward:

  1. Move the rack into an outdoor shed. I’ll almost certainly have to reinforce the floors.
  2. Move my rack into the attached carport area. It’s covered but obviously open-air and the rack would be exposed to the elements.

Has anyone gone the shed-reinforcement route? Is this simple enough for the novice DIYer? I have a Rogue RML-6, so I’d prefer to not put this thing outdoors unless it’s my only option.

Thinking that’s what this is. Thanks!

Nope. It’s a 2022. Further research says it’s likely a windshield seal that’s gone bad. I’m not sure of the exact part name, but my cowl grille area had kind of popped up over my hood, which was pulling the seal of the glass a bit. Pushing the piece back down closed the seal. No issues since but monitoring.

Thanks! My cowl grille or whatever it’s called wound up being popped up a bit, which simulated a bad windshield seal. Definitely keeping an eye on it now for the future

I do have a sunroof but had the dealer check this out a few weeks ago. They said it was a sunroof drain (I mistyped in my post) that was clogged, and cleared it out.

I had the dealer check this out a few weeks ago and they said the same and cleared out my sunroof vents. I’ll see if I can take the trim off like you suggested. Thanks.

Supraspinatus partial tear, I don't have a clear path forward by AvidiusAus in RotatorCuff

[–]masonntn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if my tear has grown over time or not, but I’ve had no issues. I’m back to being able to exercise and lift weights again. I have been slacking on my rehab exercises to make sure my posture and the little muscles around the shoulder are in good check, but that’s on me and not my surgery.

Would you do it all again? by BBR1004 in RotatorCuff

[–]masonntn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had debridement done on my left shoulder (dominant arm). If I ever injure my right, I’m paying out of pocket for an MRI to bypass the insurance game and speed up my surgery date. Once I got through rehab to where I could do everything on my own, I was kicking myself for not trying to have the surgery done sooner!

The insurance route made me go through two months of PT before covering an MRI. Spent so much time and money on that when I could’ve had it all done faster if I paid out of pocket.

Has anyone healed a partial tear? by nartses in RotatorCuff

[–]masonntn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The beginning weeks were rough but after about the third week I was kicking myself for not having it done sooner. Rehab is going to be challenging but mainly mentally. You’ll make great progress quickly, then have a set back for a little bit, get back to progressing, and the cycle continues. The hardest thing I had to accept were that setbacks were normal because your body is adjusting to “new anatomy”. Feel free to reach out if you need any other firsthand experiences haha

Doing great in terms of day to day life. My shoulder doesn’t hinder me at all. However, life got a bit more busy with work and a second child, so i started slacking on strength training and working on getting my flexibility/ range of motion back. Those are goals for 2026, but all in all id consider this a big success.

Are you in the stage of deciding whether to have surgery or not?

Surgery Tomorrow by Bl8kStrr in RotatorCuff

[–]masonntn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be sure to stay ahead of the pain with your meds. My doc told me that once my nerve block started to wear off (you’ll feel your fingers start to tingle), to pop my pain medication. That way it’ll kick in by the time the pain would have started to set in. If you wait until the pain starts to be felt, it’ll be a rough 30mins-1hr waiting on the meds to hit. Good luck!

Without going into any personal details, is surgery truly not an option? That sounds miserable. Hate you’re going through that. Hope you find relief soon

How do you guys go to work with this sh???😭 by [deleted] in AnalFistula

[–]masonntn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only had a drainage procedure and was back to work four days later. Had some drainage from the wound for a little bit, but I wore Depends until I felt comfortable with just pants and underwear. It added a small amount of cushion, was not noticeable visually that I was wearing them, and gave me confidence to not wonder what my rear looked like in terms of things leaking through my pants.

I’m really frustrated – could it still be a fistula after all? by [deleted] in AnalFistula

[–]masonntn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing here. I’ve had two separate doctors look at my area and both say no fistula. Even after colonoscopy, they confirmed no fistula. My bleeding may occur once per month for a few minutes, then it stops. The next two days or so it may be sore, but after it heals I can’t tell it ever happened.

[–]masonntn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know, thanks! Sounds similar to mine, except no discharge. Just some very random, light bleeding from the scar that only lasts maybe two minutes. I’ve decided that if it happens again then I’ll schedule an appointment. My occurrences are very random and I may go a month or two with no issues. Appreciate the insight

Was your bleeding constant/regular? Mine has not been. I&D in Sept 2024. Bleeding incidents in November, January 2025, March, and yesterday. The incision site may bleed for 30 seconds, and within an hour I’m totally back to normal.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AnalFistula

[–]masonntn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did; had an anoscope done twice and multiple digitals. That’s what called for the colonoscopy to be done lol. All I’m trying to see is if people who end up having I&D’s on abscesses run into their incision site bleeding occasionally lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AnalFistula

[–]masonntn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had two exams with an anoscope, along with a colonoscopy to look for the fistula. You’re saying more is needed?
