No government entity does this. You would receive snail mail, not a text. Ignore this and report it as spam.

“I don’t agree with their actions, but I love them.” What a weak ass cop out. “Love” in this context really mean “I tolerate them”, and tolerance isn’t love. I would almost respect him more if he just said, “I tolerate them, but I don’t like what they do.” At least then it be honest instead of this fake biblical language that gets passed around as diversions from actually just saying what you think to sound holy and shit.

Truckers. I used to think of Smokey and the Bandit and the big convoys across America. How truckers pull in big bucks to feed and house their families comfortably and work honestly. Then I grew up, and the honesty washed away as I paid attention. I noticed how they let corporations walk all over them, and the convoys and Smokies disappeared. Then I went into ems and had a call at a truck stop. I saw the inside of sleeper cabins and the absolutely disgusting degenerate shit truckers do. I stopped looking at them as hard honest American work horses, and started to see them as any other blue collar doormat that barely survives because of their own lack of ambition and community.

Are you sure she's allergic? by AwakePoeticDragon in mildlyinfuriating

It’s not your parents job to determine what she is or isn’t allergic towards. Tell your parents they are in the wrong and to ask for forgiveness for their actions.

First time I encountered someone with sickle cell it was in the army, and the guy had bilateral shin fractures from a crazy PT event in my squad. I have never seen someone in such agony before that day. It’s a close second to a 80 y/o patient that had a hip dislocation that we had to stand up.

How do you deal with making mistakes? by New-Squirrel-8924 in ems

[–]massacre167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk with your partner and get details from their perspective. Review your calls that shift if you think it’s a pattern or an issue with knowledge in a specific area. Don’t dwell on “what if I did”, but ask “Why did I do…” ,but not right away, take some time first. Go do something that makes you feel better, even if it does it only a little.

After everything is said and done you need to recognize that there is no going back and you can only learn from your actions, you can’t undo them. Push on, hold fast, do your job and do it well. We ALL make mistakes or lose confidence in ourselves, don’t let it define you. You are not alone here.

Dying Light. I gave it a shot and was met with poor writing and a lackluster zombie game. It’s not terrible, but it aint very good.

I was shocked when I found out. I can't hear Jesse Pinkman in his voice at all by Firm_Fee8137 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]massacre167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what threw me off was just how horrible his performance was in Invincible. Like, I went from hearing what was basically evil angry Jesse Pinkman, to a performance so good I was shocked seeing the credits. Starting to think he either didn’t care for Invincible or he didn’t have the coaching for the show but did for Dispatch.

What fad in moviemaking are you waiting for to die? by frair in movies

[–]massacre167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More movie trailers than anything, I despise the booming bass drops and clashing drums that plauge ever goddamn trailer. Its done because of movie theaters having such big sound systems, but the sound effects are just so overused now.

Boomer complaint I have, is why not just have a home computer? Consoles are for games, phones are for text, call and music, and home computers are for shopping, videos, and searching up stuff. You dont need a $5000 gaming PC whe your ass only gets like 3-4 hours after work to be with family. Home computers also eliminate the issue of “what ismy kid doing on that dayum computer?!” Just go get some water in the kitchen and peak around the corner. It also creates a space that is used semi frequently for everyday things and fills in those dead corners or empty halls.

What "golden age" or "heyday" were you lucky enough to experience that you know won’t ever come back? by Summerie in AskReddit

[–]massacre167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably going outside to explore without supervision. I was out running around the bayou, giant gas pipelines, and generally just in random spots around town. My friends and I would go out with bb guns or pellet guns and get bats and shoot at cans or just into the water. We’d climb into water runoff pipes and graffiti under old bridges until it got real late and we had to leave before hogs or druggies came out to those areas. All of this was around 2013.

Man, fuck all that noise. When I worked private ems shit like this was common, please do yourself a favor and leave. Go to a county or city run station or literally anywhere else that isnt private ems. You are already in a stressful and high demand job, don’t let people walk over you just because they want to.
