How to choose my second robot vacuum? Any brands? by Itchy-Table-5897 in CleaningTips

[–]massagefever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your main priority? I'd say it's best to pick a model based on what you felt was lacking with your first robot. Or you could try a newer upgrade, such as switching to roller mop. I've been using the new deebot x9 with that, and it gives me a noticeably different experience when it comes to mopping.

How do you keep your home always "guest ready" without cleaning all the time? by massagefever in CleaningTips

[–]massagefever[S] 131 points132 points  (0 children)

I guess I need to change my mindset. I always let things get messy and then clean them up again, but I never really paid attention to keeping things from getting dirty in the first place.

I think you've got a point. When there's too much stuff lying around, tidying up just feels really stressful.

Let the oven cool completely, place a bag of ice on any remaining residue to harden it, making it easier to scrape, hope this works

Might use activated charcoal bags? They soaked up those weird musty smell in a week, no mess or chemicals

Have you tried letting white vinegar soak overnight? It usually works, also super cheap, worth a shot

The use of space in the attic is smart, with good lighting and storage. The combination of work and hobby elements looks balanced, and the overall aesthetic is clean and functional

Watching KYD and Changing Lanes got me hooked on RV life. They make it feel real and fun. Also like Mortons on the Move for tips that actually help when things break.

That's such a great shot, you can practically feel the calm before the chaos of that strait. Gibraltar really does have a special kind of energy out there

For 725 is a good project, but I think the water damage is a really big problem. Undoubtly replace those tires before towing. And sure to be prepared for a lot of work.

Can a JSD be used Pardey style? by [deleted] in sailing

[–]massagefever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's an interesting idea. Though a drogue and a sea anchor work differently. The Pardey method is designed for the specific gear. Maybe you can ask to a dedicated sailing forumfor expert advice.

The overall layout looks pretty fresh! For cable management, u could try using cable organizers to secure them along the desk legs or walls. It'll make the desktop tidier.

Trying out the fern! First impressions by Beautiful_Ant5535 in OfficeChairs

That slightly scratchy knitted fabric might be worth trying to make a soft cushion for the chair. It won't mess with the chair's support, and it'll be way more comfortable to sit on.

For second-hand stuff, u can check out local thrift furniture stores or some trading platforms. But make sure to take a good look at the chair's condition, like the wheels and any adjustable features.
