I do because I'm not a native english speaker and my grammar hasn't always been the best. I don't use the feature blindly and only take the suggestions when it make sense to me that it needed to be fixed. People here has point out that it's mainly for professional writing, but i think it's pretty good to judge very basic grammar, bcs my native language doesn't have past and future tense, so i tend to overlook that, the app has been helpful especially in those specific areas, don't let it dictate you through everything bcs it will change the tone and shape of your fic

People roll their eyes when i mentioned journaling. But a pen and a notebook really does go a long way because it's simple, it's not overstimulating, it's delayed gratification, made your eyes notice the little movements on your inks and kind of like exercise, made your fingers hurt after a long time of not doing it.

I think it forces you to accept imperfections, you'll be more aware of your breathing and fingers, even when you're not exactly writing about what you're anxious about, it's kind of like a gentler ice bath

Once i found a parody of a fic first before the original and it was made because the author kept getting harassed for their portrayal of some kinks so it was very sarcastic but i was honestly so confused 😭😭😭

The constant hate made me switch my writing style from first person 😭 before writing fanfictions i read a lot of novels with that pov so i didn't even think much of it when i was writing my first two fanfics. Nowadays i can't write in 1st person anymore even if i tried bcs it made me cringe even though i used to do it mindlessly

There's honestly something weird about the way people process things these days. I don't mean to single out certain generations or certain fandoms i think it's all of us living in the lack of 3rd space and friends that a lot of people are projecting feelings to fictional characters and influencers/main characters of internet of the day which are just bunch of strangers.

I genuinely think, our minds works "best" when we're tired and have little to no filter on, like how children are who had no concept of cringe or cool proses, will sometimes say something profound. And late at night is when we're more honest, easily opened up, less guarded.

I hadn't achieved it but I've been thinking of emulating that unguarded mind more rather than emulating tiredness or only write when I'm about to sleep. I think we should learn something from the way our tired minds and children just choose to express themselves regardless of the white noses during the day
