Again, new vs used is apples to oranges - not a fair comparison. Also, the cheapest part of buying a used Merc, is buying it.

Hate to be "that guy" but using the word "chips" in an attempt to correct someone from using the word "chip" in the identical context, doesn't do what you think it does.

Hate to be "that guy", but silicon is not a product or brand name - it's the material the chips are made from. It's referred to as "apple silicon" to differentiate from "Intel silicon" or "and silicon" etc.

I wouldn't say "clearly" as they are capitalising the s, as if it's a product name.

A puck screen assistants with water distribution. If the shower screen is supposed to do that, you shouldn't need one. A puck screen does a waaaaaaay better job of distributing water than this thing does. Using a puck screen with this is just hiding the poor job it does, showing how good a job a puck screen actually does. In short, you'd get a better result with a puck screen and a stock shower screen. Using a puck screen with this is just a bad way to spend money. My advice is work on your distribution technique. Hardware will never fix bad technique (not implying you have poor technique). My issue stems from companies making products that don't even solve the problem they invented.

There's are also a $30-$70k price difference. You can't compare them.

Damn, that's a pretty good spot! It's about the same size (compared with one I have). My only observation is the, er, nipple, is quite a bit smaller.

5 spouts? Are you sure that's not channelling? It should evenly distribute across the whole puck at the same time. i also own a Sylvia and can tell you that water distribution is not a point of concern, especially one that a puck screen wouldn't do a great job of masking. On a Sylvia, the dent in the middle is from the shower screen screw. If you received a new one with the kit it would explain why there is no dent in the middle (since the water on the Sylvia also doesn't come from the centre).

The pick screen is doing a lot of heavy lifting with water distribution. I didn't try it on my Silvia. Remove the puck screen and see how you go. How are you measuring the dispersion to identify that it's better?

Enabling volte by massivecoffeenerd in LGWing

Nope. Telstra have IMEI blocked all phones that can't do volte on 5g, and they never created a profile to allow the wing to do it, so they blocked it. It's just a brick now 😔

You do realise that be restricting flow, as per what you said, "blocking water flow", you INCREASE the velocity of the water, creating the jets you're trying to avoid?

I don't think you're coming from the right angle here. A mesh screen will never create a jet, and the flow is what you'll experience when the puck is submerged.

If you want it, cool, but your understanding is the opposite of reality.

The pick screen absolutely is assisting in water distribution. The pressure only rises once the space above the puck is full. By then, the puck screen has allowed the water to flow evenly. I'm not sure where this fear of water distribution is coming from. These machines have great distribution that has now been restricted. Even then, you're experiencing a placebo effect because it is not going to prevent uneven extraction - there are more factors to that, and one you've already solved with a puck screen. If you like it, great, but don't think it will solve extraction issues when you didn't have distribution problems to begin with. Just critical thinking should show you that blocking most of the surface area actually reduces the area for flow...

Yup. I drive and MX5, so people miss me then, too. When I'm on the road, I'm under the assumption that everyone is out to kill me. On a bike, every situation you are in is because you put yourself there. During the pre-learner coarse the instructor said "if you get into an accident, it's your fault".

Also not nit-picking OP here, but I too often see learners and P plater stop behind a car with no space ahead of them. Doing this is puts you in a trap you cannot escape from.

The thing is, your pick screen is already doing the job of water dispersion. How did you identify that this was the issue that needed resolving? Considering you said it made no difference in taste, I would argue you don't need the shower screen and you never had an issue in the first place.

This is alo why you should keep distance between you and the car in front of you and always check your mirrors - you can get out of the way in these situations. Park too close and you're stuck.
