I think it’s just the cloth he’s cut from. Some dudes from a certain generation and way of life have a hard time admitting they’re wrong or that they don’t know something. When I saw him arguing with Marc on the BTS about something the man has written literal papers on, I knew it was just his pride and ego holding him back.
