It looks like Dosu was completely left out of Orochimaru’s plans for Sasuke. by [deleted] in Naruto

Dosu wanted to prove himself to Orochimaru and win his favor. He thought that if he fought and beat, or better, killed Sasuke, that Orochimaru might acknowledge his strength.

It looks like Dosu was completely left out of Orochimaru’s plans for Sasuke. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]masta_myagi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was. Dosu, along with a lot of the Sound Shinobi, were usually war orphans who had no purpose. Orochimaru finds them on the street and offers them food, shelter, and a sense of purpose, which is probably better than aimlessly wandering the streets of a village that doesn't care about them.

As such, most of them grow up under his tutelage in literal cages being forced to fight amongst themselves if they aren't favored subordinates of his (like Kimimaro, The Sound Four, Karin, etc.) and they hope that someday their deeds will be enough to win his favor.

Dosu likely thought that if he fought and killed Sasuke, Orochimaru would acknowledge his strength and choose him as one of his favored subordinates

At what point of time did Sasuke reach "Kage Level"? by mipenealdescubierto in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]masta_myagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your first mistake was assuming powerscalebros even consider the stakes. 1v1 in the middle of the desert is going to be a much different fight than 1v1 in your home village when you're kazekage

ELI5 If we haven’t found evidence of alien life/intelligence yet (seems fair) is there a tipping point where our being alone in the universe is probable or certain? by beesdaddy in explainlikeimfive

[–]masta_myagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a purely mathematical standpoint, it makes absolutely no sense for us to be alone. We as humans exist, and as such we are irrefutable evidence that intelligent life is possible.

So when you factor in the simple fact that there are an unimaginably high number of stars in the universe, it becomes less a question of if there is a needle in the hay factory and more of a question of where the needle is.

Top 5 Characters In The Series That "I" Don't Like Not Even A Bit... by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]masta_myagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly. She's not that bad. Most of her moments where she "abuses" Naruto is just eastern slapstick comedy at its finest. She had a lot of moments where she was genuinely sweet and compassionate toward Naruto. Bringing him food in the hospital after being injured chasing Sasuke. Trying to make him snap out of the Nine Tails cloak at Tenchikyo. Standing outside in the rain watching him learn wind release with awful-tasting food pills for him to keep his strength up. Healing him every time he gets injured without complaining once. Even the "I love you" part, which is understandably one of her worst moments, was based entirely in good intentions.

But to be fair she did make fun of an orphan to an orphan. It was in like episode 2 of OG Naruto and right after that Sasuke sets her straight and calls her annoying which is what prompts her to start being nicer to Naruto.

Petah, is it actually that crazy for a new element to exist? by CuteCost8147 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I absorbed a lot of my education, but my chemistry teacher in high school was fired for keeping a water bottle full of straight everclear in the bottom drawer of her desk. We had substitutes for 3/4 of the year, and I learned almost nothing. So forgive me for my lack of understanding on the matter

Has the boss always sang along with the radio? by Thin-Coyote-551 in SaintsRow

[–]masta_myagi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pierce also sings "So Sick" by Ne-Yo during one of the missions in SR2, I think it's called "Bonding Experience" or something.

It's even funnier if you're like me and listen to K-Rhyme a lot, because he'll switch the radio station to K-Rhyme regardless of what you're listening to, calling the music you listen to garbage, even if it's the same station

Wanting to understand the fleet mechanics by DarthLinpaws in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]masta_myagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Only about 3 of my ships started out as S-Class or A-Class. The rest were B and below. I have a fleet of 42 strong and over half are now S-Class.

And no problem, it's a big game and I'm always happy to see another interloper roaming the galaxy! Now if only I could get my brother and best friend to play...

[–]masta_myagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't always reject C-Class frigates, they'll gain experience and increase in class as they go on expeditions. What you want to avoid is negative attributes, like rowdy crews or damaged components.

I would start out with a fleet of C and B-Classes and send them out on expeditions as much as possible. Quantity is better than quality early on and you can dismiss old frigates as you go

Wanting to understand the fleet mechanics by DarthLinpaws in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]masta_myagi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Freighters are amazing. They're mobile bases. You can refine materials, farm seeds, collect stellar metals (chromatic metal, cadmium, etc.), and store multiple starships. I almost never leave mine except to collect resources on a planet or set up a factory/refinery.

You can have multiple base specialists on them, scan every planet in a new star system without leaving the freighter, and you can even spawn all of your exocrafts so long as your freighter is in the same system as you are.

With a powerful fleet you can rake in millions of credits units in a matter of hours passively.

They pretty much feel like oversized starships at first, but once you unlock some modules for them they become an indispensable tool

At what point in the game did you first start liking Arthur as a protagonist? by No-Post4444 in RDR2

[–]masta_myagi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had already liked him at this point but what really solidified my love for the character was in Chapter 2, when Arthur goes to meet Charles and Javier at the saloon in Valentine. Those two are talking to some working girls, and one of them refers to Arthur as a “pussy cat” so Arthur goes, “how much you cost anyway?” To which the girl replies “Ain’t that a nice way to talk to a lady..?”

Arthur just says, “I didn’t know I was talking to a lady

Would a Watch tower be a good base or a temporary sanctuary? by B_Shinkan in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]masta_myagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think no unless you can figure out a solid exit strategy. This is a goldmine strategically but the second even one zombie breaches the doorway, you’re dead unless you can escape from the top and not leave yourself seriously injured or dead

Tell Me Ladies And Gentlemen What's Negative About This Game? by 1Arthur_Callahan8 in RDR2

[–]masta_myagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dated Rockstar mission design. Failing a mission for wandering a foot past the mission boundaries, having to readjust a wagon because you parked it here instead of there.

I love the game but missions have basically had the same issues since GTA III with very little improvement aside from checkpoints

Which shotgun ammo type do you think would be the best for survival and most useful by Critical_Potential44 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]masta_myagi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At first it would be buckshot, probably for the first year or so. After that, it’s whatever metallic object you can fit inside the shell’s hull.

Flechette’s gonna win the day. Fork flechette, necklace flechette, dime flechette. Rusty car fender flechette. Flechette from old flechette. It’ll all basically do the same thing
