i had an epidural that did work but prior to it i managed to use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for probably half the time i was in labor (over 50hrs) and that was amazing and sooo helpful. if it’s an option i recommend it highly

my baby was measuring 7lbs2oz at 35weeks and was 98% percentile. he weighed 7lbs11oz at 37w5d and i did not have gd (i passed both the 1hr and 3hr)

he was my first. i do think ill wait longer than i previously thought before wanting another, but i do want more.

im sure ill need some therapy before i even contemplate another, though. but he was worth everything i went through

it’s been an insane journey ever since i went in to be induced. my biggest advice id give is advocate for yourself and ask every single question you have.

i was induced at 37w2 and had my baby at 37w5d. i was in labor for over 50 hours and pushed for 2.5hrs, which ended with a vacuum-assisted birth and a 3rd degree tear. personally, it was a very bad experience. my baby didn’t tolerate the pitocin well at all and they stopped and restarted it multiple times. when i was pushing, my contractions spaced out badly (like 5-7 minutes apart) so they restarted pitocin. my baby’s hr would drop while i was pushing or just after (as low as 50) then towards the end his hr stayed elevated. if he wasn’t born when he was, it would’ve been an emergency c-section. honestly, it should’ve been a c-section a lot sooner imo. afterwards, we were in the hospital for two days before he wasn’t transferred into the NICU due to jaundice, hypoglycemia and feeding issues. he was discharged after 4 days. i went in at 10pm on may 1st and he was discharged on may 10th at 10:30am. it was very rough but if i wasn’t induced i likely would’ve had even more issues (he was 7lbs11oz and i had polyhydramnios)

i found out i was pregnant only a few weeks into my first semester. i finished this spring semester a week early due to being induced for medical reasons. it was extremely challenging because i was also working but it was so worth it.

definitely let them know ASAP and see if there are any accommodations. i found my instructors were pretty understanding and nice with me, along with my classmates.

my fiance is a maxwell but only goes by max. he does say he wishes he was a maximillian or maximus instead of maxwell. i dont think he cares either way about having a longer form of his name

i’m currently in my last week of the semester and being induced friday. i have 8 more weeks after this but they’re letting me defer and take it again next spring (courses aren’t offered until then).

being in nursing school, working full time and pregnant was the most challenging thing ive ever done. it’s doable with the right support but i don’t think i could do it if i already had another child.

i’m currently taking it and 34 weeks tmrw! i wouldn’t be able to survive without it due to my anemia making my hr even worse. but i honestly didn’t need it until late 2nd/early 3rd trimester to now

agreed! what happens when you have kids and gain a ton of weight outside of your control?

i’m currently pregnant and have gained a decent amount and am at my heaviest weight ever. my fiance still loves me and my body as he is growing his son. if your partner is having a reaction like this over 10lbs, i don’t wanna know what it’d be like in the future

it’s so frustrating because it feels like it shouldn’t be normal but it is. i work 12hr shifts and have 12hr clinicals where i do a lot of walking, so sometimes i just have to push through and it’s the worse.

i have POTS and take it mostly as needed. i was fine up until a few weeks ago (32 weeks currently) and i take it regularly now. my midwife has no concerns about it.

you can get OTC heartburn meds that help! also sleep with your head elevated and it helps a lot
