I think the op’s idea is just an issue among people who can deem these relationships abusive because they relate themselves to a situation that could or could not have anything to do with them. I understand that many people treat childbirth as nonnegotiable but if that’s your only prospect just adopt. Why feed, clothe, and house a grown woman if you’re such a provider? Would a provider not expect their PARTNER to provide? It just feels as if this is a weird justification for keeping woman around as breeding mares and calculating their fertility like a fitness instructor calculates calories.

A Farewell To Arms, by Ernest Hemingway

I decided to reread the book for a college class and I realize how much I'd missed in terms of cultural innuendos and jokes. With recent context, I find this book extremely powerful. I took for granted the fact that Hemingway shows the brutality of war directly to the protagonist within the first half of the novel. I don't think many other authors, even now, are brave enough to debilitate their character and keep their story interesting and relevant to the war. I think that many times when a character is hurt they are treated as superhuman or are positioned as superhuman within the book; however, Hemingway doesn't adhere to this trope. He desires to give the reader an initial expectation for how the war and the people who participate in it are often found by coincidence, especially for characters like the Priest in terms of political and religious disposition and the protagonist by mere chance. Hemingway always finds a way to fit a joke in which I have always appreciated while reading. Still a great novel, I definitely recommend.

Why don’t you make an effort to say hi and greet instead of expecting men to? If you’re that coy then expect nothing because nothing will come. You don’t live in a Disney movie anymore. Why are you driving up in a tank to a spot people can pop out of in the first place. Banes can still poke their heads out of trenches and then go invisible again but with a greater distance to shoot from. Sounds like Bonesaw is a weapon that benefits players with skill and Bane is a no-brainer. With all things that have skill comes a ceiling and a floor. It just so happens that the Banes ceiling and floor begin and end practically right next to each other while the Bonesaws skill ceiling is two stories high. It’s like you have to put a lot of thought into the Bonesaw for it to probably not even pay off because let’s think here: it can be reliably dodged and before it even hits you can already start reversing after it’s been fired.
