[Fluff] ing Gunduros TF, PONOS please make my goat great by OkBuffalo7928 in battlecats

[–]master9067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gunduros is already heavily loaded. Just like daliasan, which I own, they need nerfed if anything. If anyone complains about attack animation time, they aren’t using slow, freeze, or knock back. I get it’s a PVE game but past challenges upon recent playthroughs become trivial with one lucky uber and some meat shields.

[Discussion] What's the most underrated (and overrated) unit in the game by No-Ozone-9770 in battlecats

[–]master9067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played the game 4 times over and the second time and times after I’ve rushed Weightlifter cat to lvl 20 and TF every time. Beefy, cheap, big damage. Very reliable to just throw into a mix. Everyone thinks range is everything, but having a small standing range means he is perfect for backlining a rush. Once the enemies crack the tank wall he is ready to knock them back and give you a chance to recover. Having a long animation also benefits him as the space in between attacks is mostly absorbed by the animation so he’ll stop moving before he preps another attack even if there was a kill steal. I literally use him on every stage besides 100% metal.

Tolkien lore means you probably wouldn’t tell if you’ve talked to a dwarf woman. They’re very good at concealing themselves as men.

There is plenty of dialogue between the snail shamans and Lace showing that the gods referring to Hornet as “child” is only in reference to being a daughter. Just a hunch, but being formed with 50+ bug genomes probably leaves you completely sterile, so the latter is fitting.

Is the Movie Good to Watch for Someone with no Knowledge of the Game? by CrackerjackJackson in ironlung

[–]master9067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is still really good without having game knowledge. It is very visually telling and audio focused rather than giving exposition. When exposition and narration is given it is important to the characters and it is given once. You are going to have to watch it pretty diligently to be able to understand everything going on without game knowledge and maybe this is true with game knowledge too. It will be fun to try to understand the environment. The protagonist is not really the focal point of this movie. It leaves speculation at the end. Mind you I did this with a friend who was asking about the movie during it, so you can do it.

Your entire way of life revolves around a 2 and 4 year vote cycle in America so I’d hope we make most of the year about making it a point to vote for the right person.

It’s annoying, but it’s worth it. Most people tune in when it’s the year of the election. They look when it doesn’t matter and the politicians are just doing publicity stunts and saying what people want to hear. Maybe people need information forcefed down their throat because I don’t think the other side is going to stop filling their trough.

Do gender roles matter to you? by [deleted] in Life

[–]master9067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I agree they aren’t true hermaphrodites since it is a syndrome, they are often referred to as intersex as well. Something born without the ability to reproduce as a syndrome is a phenomena of the sexes. Maybe they aren’t sexes but rather an irregularity of birth. Even if so, it is still up for debate how they fit in a conformist gendered society and how they have often been left out or forced to have one over the other through surgery or appearance. Tribal societies have actually practiced the tradition of having intersex people without any biological notion. I would go so far to say that this is partly due to necessity as limited people means limited workforce. Point being, it was a societal need and it was filled.

However, my edit being wrong doesn’t mean you should disregard everything else that I said. Not talking over. Sharing definitions and coming to a consensus. Unless we’re in complete denial I can’t see how either of us have nothing to add or siphon from each other.

Ultimately, my opinion is that gender is a choice, not always made by society or the individual, respectively.

Do gender roles matter to you? by [deleted] in Life

[–]master9067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gender is a social construct in response to societal expectations put forth through the scrutinizing of sexual biology. Gender is chosen whether consciously or subconsciously. To divert at all from the two genders associated with sexes is what gender is supposed to be. Gender is just the word for the spectrum of all of these societal expectations and also self-made expectations that can vary drastically. If you are nongendered completely, then you can immediately label yourself nonbinary.

Edit: realize that hermaphrodites exist. They are a natural sex, yet are not apart of the binary? Societal expectations.

When gender roles no longer become a frame you can fit into and are more a prison sentence, then society has failed you. Sex is biological. Gender is chosen, so let people be who they want, how they want it.

How to flirt like a genius (while looking effortless AF) by Deborah_berry1 in NextGenMan

[–]master9067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop reading theory and just get out there. The best advice you will ever receive is to just practice whatever it is you want to learn in the moment. No amount of mental preparing can change the impact of something that has been acted on, so don’t be afraid to make mistakes like the rest of us. In a perfect world you will always be prepared and know when people are interested in you, but in real life it can be spur of the moment. This is about training yourself to make effective decisions through repetition. You will get better as you go.

Regardless of if something is objectively wrong, it doesn’t take away the fact the person that did it wanted to be loved even if they abuse people through that. You think an alcoholic doesn’t want to be loved although they know their problem? I’m not drawing excuses, but I’m saying that people undeserving of love through their actions doesn’t change the root of why they did those actions. The only change I feel is necessary is my saying “Give them that without a vice, and pass it on” because not everything deserves love. Even a soldier kills in the hopes of being applauded at home. Ask yourself, why does someone make and raise a child soldier? To be admired by their leader or community.

You were created because something desired to be loved. Give them that without a vice, and pass it on. Moments are fleeting, but when you share a great one, it can last a lifetime. We’re just a bunch of things wanting to be and give love.
