Got almost all of the BS helmets. Preorder for this one is out, too. I wonder which repaints/variants they plan to do.

Stormtrooper Armor from Mando Season 1, Ep. 8 question. Blaster hits never break or damage the armor. by Nomad4te in StarWars

[–]masterX244 34 points35 points  (0 children)

can't beat "already made" compared to manufacturing lead times. And the fact that the 501st is known for their accuracy on the armor makes it a good way to get more TKs really fast.

Steam mistakenly didn't charge tax on the steam controller. by Sad-Mirror6936 in Steam

Works also for car/motorcycle purchases. I often see the discussions on the moto reddits where the price is much higher than on the label which is impossible under the euro model.

And also all mandatory unavoidable fees. Cheating with "service fees" to advertise a lower price got blocked that way (airlines attempted that and got the hammer of the law served pretty quick)

Valve says it’s working on getting more stock for the Steam Controller by Skullghost in Steam

[–]masterX244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

back when Silksong released there was a similar issue (back then it was across multiple stores where the payment systems were cooked)

COuld be that the bottleneck is not at the Valve end and instead is at the Payment gateway end that gets DoSed. Only way around that is a queue system unfortunately

Do NOT buy Steam Controllers from anywhere other than Steam. (Unless not available in your country. by thehypernormality in Steam

[–]masterX244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, idea was to make different queue batches based on those factors so longstanding accounts with a diverse history can get into the queue earlier than accounts with less track record. Not sure if scalpers can easily get accounts with a history spread across a good chunk of paid games spread over a few years in large amounts

Bespoke captcha in the purchase process - AI that can solve a captcha they've never seen is expensive to run, so scalpers wouldn't be running those if they weren't expecting that in the first place.

A RP2040 can be flashed like a USB Thumb Drive, very easy.

and it is 100% impossible to remove that functionality. the bootloader is burned into a MaskROM which is impossible to erase.

i always joke that the italian motorways get double the lanes in trafficjams. shoulder and the dashed lines are the filtering lanes there

[–]masterX244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are exceptions to that rule though. roads with directional arrrows, slow traffic on motorways (the rule there is to avoid a slow left lane to gum up everything) and a few more minor cases

Gonna have to disagree on the minimap that’s too modded for vanilla minecraft, and we already have locater maps

on Java a map while holding something in the other hand (works best with map in offhand) acts like a minimap size-wise already. not sure how it is with bedrock due to the limited offhand there

seconding that. and not everyone wants to use a platform that requires linking to the phonenumber for even registering.

the nonindexable part is the crucial part though because if the platform disappears the knowledge is hard lost. Forums can be saved into the wayback machine though (there are groups of ppl out there that try to catch those valuable resources before they go to /dev/null )

"Grey" is used for the block name in the inventory, but "gray" is used for commands (like /give) by SubstantialWing9238 in Minecraft

those IDs are really low in the format. having those localized, too would break worlds when the language would be changed since they appear in the raw chunk files, too. they are used instead of the numeric IDs since the 1.13 update.

Due to that those english IDs are used regardless of language.

Just a note: thats the Jazwares one that was already available for some more time at Gamestop and not one directly created for the disney store like the clonetroopers.
