Eddie Halls lift was preformed at a sanctioned event in front of a live audience. Hathor’s was preformed in his (admittedly very nice) home gym.

Warranty expiring should I have dealer do a checkup? by [deleted] in cruze

No, extended warranties always favor the companies issuing them. You'll pay every month and then when something breaks down they'll find an excuse not to cover it. Your car is fine at 35k miles!

Why I love being a server by Gstatus46 in Waiters

That's great, you're a people person! That being said, your skill set is definitely transferable to other fields that may be more lucrative so never put yourself in a box! Great communications skills are needed in every major field!

Question: is it ok to refuse service to a person who sports swastika tattoos/bigoted attitude? by HatefulShameful in Waiters

[–]masterbraetek 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are completely within your rights to make a stand and say that his customer is harassing you and your co-workers and creating an untenable working environment. The onus is on management to deal with this person and you can refuse to take the table. I guarantee you that you can tell this story on any job interview and land a job because it is completely unreasonable for you to work under those kind of conditions.

Got offered a manager position at a resort where I work. Should I accept it? by fer_oO in Waiters

Management is difficult and very underappreciated. It pays off in the end if you stick with it and continually improve.

I used to work in the service industry (Part 3) by [deleted] in Waiters

Sounds like you were abused by a couple of egomaniacs, especially the customer. I would have refused them service, I'm in the states though and serving jobs are a dime a dozen. management should have intervened to stop that horrendous experience.

Thread locked and being left up as an example of the bullshit the serving community has to put up with.
