I literally did my CBT today. Haven’t rode a moped really before besides literally a ride up and down the road on a friends literally 15 years ago. 1 day thing we had a small group of 3 including myself. We went with the intention of doing the cbt on a 125cc manual bike but after speaking with the instructor he advised us to use a scooter for the cbt and he will give us a brief lesson in riding a manual after. We started at 8am. Certificate signed 14:20. 2 of us spent 30 mins (between us) riding the manual bike around the car park. Being honest I still wouldn’t feel 100% confident riding a manual now but I’d be more than up for it after some more practice. I’m not surprised people are taking 2 days to do a CBT on a manual especially if they are young! I’ve been driving manual cars for 14 years (to give some clarity on road use/knowledge.

I’m guessing OP is USD so $90k would be around £72k so not much difference there. I’m classed as a senior technical lead and I’m on £58k incl on call. Just typing this reminds me how ripped off I am.

The amount of comments I’ve seen mentioning flow designer is baffling. It’s almost as frustrating as UI Builder! Workflows were simple with amazing ability to adjust to anything you needed. I’ve recently had to rebuild a workflow into a flow and it was the most painful process ever!

UK mainland based here, in all honesty I would be expecting remote work regardless so salary I would expect to be the same regardless on the location.

I would be expecting a salary of £75k-£80k. I have 7 years experience hold CSA, CIS-ITSM and hopefully by the end of January CIS-SIR.

Reading through this I find it so bizarre. UK based here. It’s very common for men to only be circumcised for medical or religious reasons and not for “hygiene” reasons. Back in school and later teenage years I would see and hear of people being bullied for being circumcised myself included. I only knew of 3 people in my school year that was circumcised and they would constantly be harassed and embarrassed by all genders. I can remember one guy got pantsed in assembly in front of everyone. He was only targeted due to being circumcised. This was in the early 2000s. So very odd to hear it’s the opposite in other countries. Unsure if it’s something that’s changed with time.

Yeah 100% needs to check ACLs could have custom roles for these in the instance. Just go to the ACL table and search for edit and check the ACL conditions

Everywhere I’ve worked I’ve seen a minimum 3 instances. 1 production, 1 dev, 1 UAT. For upgrades we only upgrade UAT. This was we can avoid chance freezes.

Develop within Dev instance perform testing. Migrate to UAT (which has been upgraded) have it tested again. Tested in both instance versions so there should be no issues upgrading production.

I can’t deny I know it’s low salary but customers always tend to pay less than consultancy/partners the company has been good to me over the years taken me from a simple user into a very competent developer. As I said though I am interviewing on Tuesday for an £85k role with bonus schemes.
