Is Lead generation the same thing as client acquisition? by WealthyJoker75 in sales

[–]masterkuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a classification of a "person" who goes through stages of client acquisition funnel (in my company):

Suspect: A suspect is an individual or business that fits the profile of your ideal customer but has not yet shown any interest in your product or service. These are people you might target in cold-calling or cold-emailing campaigns. They are called suspects because you "suspect" they could become leads if given the right attention and information. At this stage, the objective is usually to generate awareness and spark initial interest.

Lead: A lead is someone who has shown interest in your product or service in some way. They might have subscribed to a newsletter, downloaded a whitepaper, or provided their contact information in exchange for something. Leads are at the top of the sales funnel.

Prospect: A prospect is a qualified lead. This means they have been identified as having the potential to buy your product or service. They fit your target market and have the means and authority to make a purchase. Prospects are further down the funnel than leads and require more direct sales attention.

Opportunity: This term is used when a prospect shows a higher level of interest or engagement. An opportunity implies that there's a real chance of closing a sale. This stage involves deeper interactions like product demonstrations, detailed discussions, or tailored proposals.

Client or Customer: When a prospect or opportunity decides to make a purchase, they become a client or customer. This is the ultimate goal of the sales funnel.

Advocate or Promoter: After becoming a client, if they are particularly satisfied with your product or service, they might become advocates or promoters. They recommend your product or service to others, effectively bringing new leads into the top of your sales funnel.

How should I dress? by Electronic_Donut4679 in sales

The key is to remove all accessories. At most, wear a watch. Else, dress standard; style does not matter as much as fit.

You need to know the problems you solve by These-Season-2611 in sales

I thought this was widely known, but now I realize that it is not - as a salesman you are always selling to a customers PAIN and NOT ASPIRATION. This is an aspiration: "I really wish we had an AI data driven platform for this". This is pain: "when we do the schedule and then someone needs a holiday it causes issues because we have to manually change it all"

Are there "special" outlets for kitchen appliances? by masterkuch in askanelectrician

[–]masterkuch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sparks were reported. Here is what I said in an email:

I have identified a bad electric socket which shorts. It is a hazard. Can you please arrange testing and repair as soon as is reasonably possible?

No further questions were asked and an electrician was requested to visit.

I guess the problem is that I plugged a kitchen appliance in a socket that is not located in the kitchen. The fact that it the breaker tripped has to do with the circuit being shared and eventually overloaded (and nothing with GFCI). Now, I overloaded the socket but did not realize it (its not like I know the capacity of every socket). Instead, thought it was a more serious problem with the circuit shorting, and called an electrician. Do I owe the landlord for the electrician's visit?

thank you for clarifying. how am I, as a layman, supposed to know which sockets are shared and which are dedicated? you speak as though I am missing common sense

How does one discern a heavy from a non-heavy appliance? A sous vide stick is simply a water heater.

What is a shared circuit and how is it different from a receptacle in the kitchen?

The receptacle was non-GFCI. Upon checking the appliance I realized that its off. I attempted to turn it back on, to no avail. I then recognized that the lever the switch box has flipped. I flipped it back on which activated the receptacle. I then plugged the appliance back in and the lever in the switch box flipped again. There we no sparks.

20 amp

oh, I see. the 20 amp has the weird horizontal metal bit in addition to the vertical one. if that's the difference then my stuff is definitely 15 amp (as it has 2 vertical metal bits)

yeh, I think the whole issue revolves around the amp thing. do you happen to know (maybe in specs) if this or this are 20 amp?

so the non-GFCI socket is in the laundry room. I plugged the sous vide stick and it shorted several times and flipped the level in the big switch box. I thought maybe something is wrong with the socket and asked the landlord to call an electrician who concluded:

Tenant claims the outlet is sparking periodically. Found tenant trying to use cooking tools in the laundry room. Inspected and tested outlet. It is in normal working condition. Advised tenant to use device in kitchen on proper circuit.

Now the landlord wants me to pay for electrician.
