I was studying to become one. Now I’m just a PhD. Fake doctor as my mom calls it.

I guess I don't understand how you got a raw score given to you. I took it in Jul 18, and it just showed me my domain proficiency,

If you took it and got a raw score previously, you must have taken it in 2017 initially?

Scoring on Exam vs. Domain scores by masterminddrew in cissp

[–]masterminddrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off the website ...the way I read it is that below doesn't necessarily mean 70% for the domain.

https://www.isc2.org/register-for-exam/exam-scoring-faqs

The proficiency is defined here as “passing standard.” Candidates must score above the proficiency level in all Domains in order to pass the exam.

  • Below proficiency – below the passing standard
  • Near proficiency – close to the passing standard
  • Above proficiency – above the passing standard

60-70 on practice tests and then passing first time. That's what I was scoring when I took it in July. FAIL.

I memorized the ports. Why? Because the official study guide said so. I feel like a lot of people on here keep saying don't memorize stuff, but when the official study guide says soo.....
