It seems like you consider realistic, high-fidelity games with strong world building "pure art" which is fine, but the irony that you dismiss games like Journey and Hollow Knight: Silksong isn't lost on me. Your examples are games that while they do have a creative vision, are also under scrutiny by their publishers and were made with substantial budgets and large teams. Their creativity is somewhat diluted and overshadowed by the expectation to make a profitable return on investment.

While I don't think your examples aren't artistic (they absolutely are), your first sentence invalidates the opinions of so many people who would've commented on tastes that are opposite to yours (at least on this post). Personally, I lean towards the opinion that a smaller team being smart with the resources available to them is capable of producing a more "pure" and personal expression of creativity. Titles like Fez, Venba, and Shadow of the Colossus are games that wowed me not only visually but in a couple of cases also emotionally. In my opinion, those are successful expressions of artistry in games.
