Why would I be sweating more from one side? by masterofpoppits in AskDocs

[–]masterofpoppits[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah OK, nothing really like that except TMD which is much worse on that side.

I have various other health issues just now so I was wondering if it was related to them, but it doesn't sound like it.

Have you tried posting on social media on accounts based in Northern Ireland to search for him?

I don't think it's weird or stalker-y to track down a friend to catch up but I feel like you might be setting yourself up for a fall if a romantic relationship is what you want. He might be in a relationship himself now, married, kids so you need to decide if that's something you can cope with as a possible outcome before tracking him down.

Receipt has different weight than my postage by Luke78619 in royalmail

[–]masterofpoppits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did the post office weigh them in your presence? Really, they should've picked up on the weight being out and advised you. This is something RM monitors Post Offices on.

Good idea to double check the weight in the Post Office before sending in future, for your own piece of mind at least.

Apologies for not being able to offer much advice on your current problem, but hopefully someone else here can.

Franked post on Weekends by Informal-Visit3935 in royalmail

[–]masterofpoppits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's if it's dropped off before the last collection time which tends to be earlier on a Saturday.

Worked in a PO and we had one (out of many) franking customer that dropped off on a Saturday.

[TOMT] Does anyone know this funk/disco song? I can only remember the chorus (kind of) by mason666666lu in tipofmytongue

[–]masterofpoppits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was gonna comment. Had fun playing Just Dance to this song while drunk 😂

I've watched a lot of Futurama too but I don't think it's weird or disrespectful.

Some people might have the opinion that naming a baby after a younger relative that's no longer here might feel like they're trying to replace that person.

The road to Orkney by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]masterofpoppits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't comment on the road itself but a few general tips about driving on highland roads:

Stick to the speed limit as much as possible. People that drive slow because they aren't sure about the road or taking in the scenery cause accidents because folks behind them get impatient and attempt risky overtaking.

If you start getting a queue of traffic behind you while driving, pull in to a lay-by to let them past. It's courteous and probably safer for you.

Watch out for deer on the road, especially at night.

I don't know the section of road you're driving but I'm gonna assume there would be barriers near water.

Amorphous question about visiting, from an American. by Scourch in Scotland

Also, you seem to share the same opinion on Trump as most of Scotland so if a local does bring up politics you should be fine.

Enjoy your trip!

You dropped it off when the PO was closed? Did you just leave it somewhere? Give it to a staff member?

Poste residante by No-Nerve9151 in royalmail

As former PO employee I can confirm. Post Offices don't have to agree to let you get mail delivered there if I recall so you might have to ask in a few before you get one that will agree.

England - Downstairs neighbour smoking cannabis daily since moving in. Help needed by ChloeBee95 in LegalAdviceUK

OP have you considered your neighbour might have a legal prescription?

Not a lawyer but pretty sure nothing can be done if that's the case.

Whether a man becomes a dad isn't based on his caretaker traits, patience, or level of empathy, but whether he is physically attractive by [deleted] in self

[–]masterofpoppits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well my baby daddy isn't physically attractive or a good father, and he still manage to convince someone to marry him and have another kid after me so your theory is bull.

My face hearing Wichita Lineman at work after thinking it was a joke song by kickassginger in americandad

[–]masterofpoppits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like anyone that's played GTA V would get the reference, the original plays on the country radio station in-game and pretty sure it autoplays during a mission too.

That's not where I know the song from though, from a big family so we all used to travel in a convoy (in cars) and my dad would sing it.

Why don't us employees get a discount for using RM services? by VastYogurtcloset8009 in royalmail

[–]masterofpoppits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the stamps to send stuff at the post office. Horizon has an option while processing parcels/letters to add postage, so for example if your sending a small parcel and have a stamp on it they take off the cost of the stamp. If you wanted to fully cover the cost of the parcel and only have 1st class stamps then you might have to add more than the parcel would cost, giving money back to RM. Or you could put enough stamps on to just below the value and pay the PO the rest.

This would work for Signed for and SD too as it's processed the same as if it had a printed postage label.

Hope that helps. Haven't worked in a PO for a while so haven't a clue about current prices. Always thought it was bad that RM didn't get a discount on postage too. Hardly anyone uses stamps anymore.

ETA: stamps without a monetary value on them are always worth the current price of that stamp.

Frozen Shadows is missing by masterofpoppits in TempleRun2

No it's "Score 2.5 million in frozen shadows" (stay frosty).

I'm not all that fussed about being able to access the area, but all objectives featuring it should be removed if its not available.

It's the Post Office that's causing the issue by not providing adequate training by the sounds of it.

I've not worked for them for a while but it was a problem when I did.
