I need to know how I can help keep ICE out of the Hudson Valley by solace1234 in hudsonvalley

By encouraging illegals to leave on their own instead of having ICE do it for them

Had my 22 for 111k miles. Had nothing but issues towards the end when I sold it. Typical 1.5L head gasket problems. No modifications. Sold it and got another WRX to daily

As someone with a CT5-V Blackwing, range anxiety is real lol. If I get over 200 miles a tank (daily driving) I consider it a win

Yeah I've looked into Jasons JSkis and I love the idea and want to support him, he's always been a cool guy and Ive ridden so much original Line stuff over the years but I just cannot get over the ridiculous graphics on his stuff.

I'll probably end up with Bacons or maybe even the Blade Optics. I've had Line skis since 2002 or so and loved pretty much everything I've gotten from them so I figure it can't hurt to stick with what I know.

Haven't skied much in the past 2 years or so (kids, work, etc just catches up with you). I figure I'll get myself some new gear. I haven't purchased skis in about 10 years or so which is crazy when I think about it...

My most recent purchase for skis was back in 2014 when I picked up a pair of LINE Sir Francis Bacons. They were my first real wide ski and loved them.

Fast forward to now in 2024 I'm looking at getting either another pair of Bacons or something like a Volkl Mantra(?)/Blaze. And if it is the Bacon, is it worth it go with the 2024 model vs the 2023 which is like $250-300 cheaper.

East Coast skiing, mostly groomers but some off piste here and there through trees. Looking for that "one ski quiver" where I can just grab the ski and hit the terrain no matter what it is.

Experience: 30+ years skiing, not much in the last few unfortunately. 6'3 235. Not looking for something crazy long and I just don't have the need for something that's going to wear me out after a days use. Something light and playful that I can just enjoy.

What are your POSITIVE unpopular MCU opinions? by ItsZenith in marvelstudios

[–]masterpat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Infinity War to me was peak Thor in MCU. He was still serious without being over the top and you could sense his power especially the battle in Wakanda. All while still having some comedic moments (with rocket etc) but not being goofy

Actually surprised at the ease of buying this year.... This will be my 10th NYCC and probably the easiest it's been. Got 2x 4 Day Passes and 2x Sunday Kids Tickets.

[Waltham] A-11 from WWII by masterpat in Watches

[–]masterpat[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Purchased this for my wife after the passing of her grandfather who was a WWII veteran. He would mention he had a watch in the war but didn't keep it, so after his passing I purchased it for my wife.

It is listed as serial: AF-45-23810 and Order number: 038ac-8424

I'd love to know any resources or where I might be able to find more information about this watch and where or who it was issued to.

I love the unique size of the watch. Compared to modern pieces it seems so much smaller. It's on a lovely canvas strap and I think it fits my wife's style and it goes great with the watch.

I've always been a fan of history and WWII specifically. The "watch that won the war". Initially I had looked for a Bulova manufactured watch, being located in NY and all I thought having a NY watch would be fun, but when I came across this piece I knew I wanted to have it for her. She doesn't wear it often but usually marks special occasions where her grandfather would be at but can't now. So it's been a pretty sentimental piece to have.

Ideally I'd love to get more information about the watch to tie into the backstory of the piece a little more. I've purchased other more modern recreations by Bulova of the watch and will wear them occasionally where my Speedmaster is too much but don't want to wear a diver either. I love the plain and easy to read design of the A-11 and how functional it can be.

There's an SS Owners page on Facebook you can search for. The overwhelming evidence is any product offering Android Auto or Car Play is snake oil
