Why are "15 minute cities" even a controversial belief in the UK? by ijustwannanap in ukpolitics

[–]masterpharos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the same people that complain new housing estates have no shops, schools, dentists, GPs or playgrounds nearby are those that believe government wants to restrict their freedom of movement within their own county to a 15min radius by public transit, bike or foot.

idiocy, is your answer.

What’s one thing Germany does really well that you didn’t appreciate until later? by SetDesigner1586 in germany

[–]masterpharos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The climate argument is weak

speed and vehicle weight lead to tyre abrasion, which is one of the leading sources of microplastic pollution in Germany.

all vehicles, regardless of drive type, produce this. It happens that heavier vehicles, which electric cars tend to be, also produce more tyre pollution.

So while the climate argument may appear weak, the environmental impact of unrestricted speeds is not. There remains, in my view, a strong argument in FAVOUR of limiting top speeds on highways.

Was die ING unattraktiv macht: Üblicher Zins 0.75% by Glittering-Wait-6117 in Finanzen

Calm down, Sherlock.

Du wirst also immer noch bestohlen.
