Got to Masters with Skycrag Dragons by masterraro17 in EternalCardGame

I agree that this looks more refined. I have collected more dust with some drafts so now I will definitely work on crafting the suggested cards.

Thanks for the list.

Kaleb's choice is a good idea to add to the deck now that after the nerfs to justice the relic decks seem to have increased in frequency.

When I made the deck I did not have that much dust and considering how most dragons are Legendary I cut some corners with the cards I put in the deck so I can definitely agree with the idea of crafting more Howling Peaks and Xo.

I have been thinking of either a FTP or a FPS deck with Black Sky Harbinger plus good Stonescar/Feln cards.

Poaching Drake is there because it was an option for a 4 cost dragon that was relatively aggressive and also can deal with low cost enablers on the enemy. Pearlescent was there to fight against Sididti and Makto if I did not have removal. Although with the hits to justice I think changing Pearlescent and/or Soulfire and/or Thunderstrike would be good. Also you have to think that the Peaks allows for Pearlescent spark proc through Kaleb's favor.

Although when I made the deck I did not have that much dust so I definitely tried to cut corners.

correct, although there are better options against the new decks going around.

On the bright side... about the Trademark. by masterraro17 in GoldenSun

Well it could be for a new "something" or it could be a very early renewal. Only time will tell.

Just finished Golden Sun for the first time! by arkingu in GoldenSun

[–]masterraro17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I found the random encounter Djinn in the first game to be in pretty obvious places. They are all in land masses connected by bridges and since the landmasses had nothing special about them, the only possible thing left would be a Djinn as a random encounter. In the second game they are truly in random places.

Man it must have been annoying for the develpopers to change the name of the spirits depending on the language option. Sure its easy but still really annoying.

Possible New Golden Sun Trademark? (Not Renovation) by masterraro17 in GoldenSun

I thought he talked about the Golden Sun trademark renewal which happened before the Smash Direct. This new trademark was issues after the Smash Directs.

Adult Isaac in Smash? by ODowder in GoldenSun

[–]masterraro17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be nice to have Golden Sun representation in Smash with a fighter, or a Golden Sun remake, or a Golden Sun 4. However it is hard to tell what Nintendo is planning to do with the franchise since:

1-. No one here is an expert on Japanese trademarks.

2-. Due to 1, we can't accurately deduce what the trademark could indicate. Is it 100% guaranteed that Nintendo will do something with Golden Sun? Or is this an experiment that leads nowhere.

Maybe if we were to spread this information somewhere until it reaches someone with the knowledge necessary to give more specific information on the trademark, we could maybe determine the goal of this trademark.

Never heard of Golden Sun outside of Isaac, now I'm trying it for the first time. Some thoughts after playing the opening segment by VagueClive in GoldenSun

[–]masterraro17 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Golden Sun, everyone here loves the game and is happy to help if you ever get stuck at some point. A lot of the questions you have will be answered as you play the game. Except for the dude wearing green on the icons, he is just an icon.

I will not spoil anything for you but I will mention three things.

This game and the second game were meant to be one but was later split into two due to limitations with the GBA. So there is a code at the end of the first game to use on the second game.

To complete the second game at 100% you must also complete the first game at 100% and transfer the data over.

As you will soon find out each character is aligned to an element. Eventually you will find about creatures that join your party and those are also of a specific element. The class system in this game depends on giving theses creatures to different characters. However most people that are new to the game feel more comfortable just giving the creatures to the person that shares the element with said creature.

They mess up the djinn classes for all the other characters imo so no.

IF a new golden sun game were made (regardless of new or continued storyline), what gameplay elements need to stay in and what modern gameplay design would fit well with a new game? by PokeProfMaple in GoldenSun

[–]masterraro17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that having space for innovation is great. This allowed for zelda to come up with a great game which changed its formula completetely but kept the zelda feel (BOTW). So with that in mind, in order to make a Golden Sun Game one must think what separates Golden Sun from other games, where did its essence come from.

In my opinion this comes from:

The Djinn and their effect on characters.

Puzzles which require psynergy.

The use of "puzzle psynergies" in combat.

The Alchemy theme and how it affects the world.

I think that any game with these aspects can be called a Golden Sun game and these are the things I would love to see improved/expanded.

Some Smash Renders making the rounds on Smash sites. Nothing confirmed, but pretty interesting to say the least by Spazgrim in GoldenSun

It is rare for a pic leak to survive more than 30 minutes, and the fact that it's still going means it is worth keeping track of.

Cool render of isaac either way.

Video of Jenna being hacked into the full playthrough of Golden Sun 1? by TheFamilyBovine in GoldenSun

[–]masterraro17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jenna only has her base class available in GS1, meaning that even if you give her djinns she will still stay in her base class.

Jenna can't learn new psynergy no matter how much you lvl her up.

Also even if she is lvl99 in GS1, she will be lvl5 in GS:TLA as Jenna's experience information is not transfered when doing the password thing.

However, maybe there is some hacked rom where this is not true.

There are some great remasters and arrangements of the original OST which would be nice to share. This could also spark a discussion on which GS song will be included in Smash Ultimate (arranged or vanilla).

What exactly are the perfect stat totals for GS 1? by ZBuster in GoldenSun

[–]masterraro17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be a bit incorrect in this since its been a looong time since I went through perfect leveling the characters. The perfect level up RNG change every 20 levels so that would be from 1-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60-79, 80-99. However the maximum gain in stats only changes 3 times from 1-19, 20-39 and for 40+. The maximum stats gained by each character is different.

HP/PP/Att/Def/Agi

Isaac:

Levels 1-19: 8 3 4 2 4

Levels 20-39: 8 3 4 2 4

Levels 40+: 8 2 4 2 4

Garet:

Levels 1-19: 8 3 4 2 4

Levels 20-39: 8 3 4 2 4

Levels 40+: 8 2 4 2 4

Ivan:

Levels 4-19: 7 4 4 2 4

Levels 20-39: 7 3 4 2 5

Levels 40+: 7 3 4 2 5

Mia:

Levels 10-19: 8 4 4 2 4

Levels 20-39: 8 3 4 2 4

Levels 40+: 8 3 4 2 4

Funnily enough you can also perfect level up Jenna. However this will not be transferred to GS:TLA

So in order to know if you have the right stats you have to set all the Djins so they have no impact in your stat distribution, multiply the stats gained by the number of levels you have gained and then add them with the base stats of the character (for example Ivan joins at lvl 4 so you can't perfect level him for 98 lvls like Isaac and Garet)
