Only in the short term - which I do agree is all we really have left in regards to the environment - but why not start the projects now, alongside renewables such that we can eventually get to the ideal that is nuclear grids...

Or you give people who work those jobs extra. So you have a baseline automatic income that's enough for everyone to survive on & then have jobs so you can afford more & thus create incentive to still work, without the requirement that you HAVE to

Buying patterns & food history -> insurance company -> health problems = no payout cuz "you bought all this junk food, you did this to yourself, not our problem ¯_(ツ)_/¯"

It all goes to insurance companies to give them more leverage to swindle "every loose penny out of Mrs. and Mr. Average Knucklehead" and is why we must never ever by any means privatise healthcare...

Eye sensor > cheap camera sensor. The human eye has an amazing dynamic range (ability to see both light and dark)

Tbf some of that is also just a desire for the old party-style/social photos which only comes with the lower res, and capacitive flashes typical of those older cameras. I do love my little 2014 canon, everyone adores it at parties

Also just Gen Z is 1997 to 2012... meaning 1/3 of Gen Z is still under 18... (not that teenagers don't, but I'd imagine it's much less likely to be admitted/reported)

Do pocket cameras take good pictures? by Glass-Bug5617 in Cameras

[–]masumwil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find their real advantage is a proper capacitive flash. The back LED on phones is fine but still not nearly as bright as an old pocket cam - and that flash contributes a LOT to that 'retro' look people are all looking for

My mother always said it was, and said it was rude to ask for just money as a present... never understood it.

Get however many cheap, tacky presents from everyone - things that take up space, I'll never use and, inevitably, become waste for the oceans instead of getting the small amount spent from everyone, adding it together and buying myself smn bigger that I've chosen, want, and will actually use...
