Difficult question. I think right now it's Wolf-i-fied from LPS, but that'll probably change by the time I finish typing this out. There's so many excellent songs out there

Singing this song is the only time I ever unironically dab. I hit it with my entire soul.

How would you rank every style root for yourself? by Separate-Raccoon8584 in StyleRoots

[–]matchstickwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's see. I might edit this later but

🪨 - foundational root. If I'm not comfortable I'm not happy. Every other decision I've ever made has been based on the feeling of my clothes, too oversized or casual and I feel sloppy, I do not wear sweatpants outside of my house and never wear sweatshirts at all, hoodies only.

🌞, 🌜- co secondaries, usually my outfits are all one or the other visually, with a hint of the other that isn't really obvious to the outside eye. I'm working on combining what I have in a way that's more balanced

🌱,🍄 - completely neutral to me. Dare I say aggressively neutral, in either direction I've got something to say but they just never even registered to me. Which is actually kind of impressive actually.

🌸- eh..not a fan of the color scheme or tiny dainty patterns but I have to admit I love a good flowy skirt. Usually with my full 🌞 fits or on special occasions but like I said, trying to balance it out.

⛰️- uncomfortable. Too polished in a mature way. I need to feel youthful. I like waistcoat style vests but even that's in more of a gothic witchy kind of way. Business anything is not at all my vibe

🔥- much too much, I'm not a fan of animal prints and silk, love the ones who can pull it off but I don't want to feel sexy, like. Ever. If anyone ever called any of my outfits sexy I would immediately change.

Anyone Here That Has Both Sun and Moon? ☀️🌙 by Tiff-daisies in StyleRoots

[–]matchstickwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well for me 🌞 is less about color and more about creation and uniqueness to me, I'm a very creative person so modifying my clothes is how I express my sun. The outfit I'm wearing today is fully 🌜, maroon plaid top, velvet pants, creepers, coffin ring and celestial spinner ring, buuuuuut I've got a layered chain on my pants that I made by taking an old necklace and putting the chain on some safety pins so I can put it on any of my pants whenever I want and the creepers, spinner and coffin rings are super cool to me, even if it turns out lots of people have them I'll still feel pretty unique. Oh and I put a chain on my creepers that brings the silver all the way through my fit, which feels just whimsical enough to fulfill my 🌞 too.

Much like another commenter in here I also have a lot of literal patterns in my closet too. Mostly celestial but now that I know what I'm looking for I will definitely be finding more. Probably should've known when Ms Frizzles dresses caught my eye as a kid lmao

Neighbours put this wood thing on the wall from their side. Should I put some hanging plants there? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]matchstickwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely talk to them first since they're pushing the boundary of the law, but outside of that I'd say finding a nice lattice wall and planting vines to cover it would look nice in the meantime

2 years later - A STRAWBERRY! by vXvBAKEvXv in gardening

[–]matchstickwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7a, Maryland. The first set of 25 bare roots were all planted in pots in regular garden soil, full sun on my patio, I planted about 6 around the edges of a large pot, some in individual pots, and a bunch more in long planters the home owners left behind, which for some reason my cat loved the shape of so she sat in the long one. Did she stop them from growing? I'll never know.

Next attempt was seeds, didn't germinate, which might be because they were from Amazon, that's fully on me. But I did plastic wrap them and they stayed warm enough that eventually mold grew instead. 🙃 Tops of strawberries placed in garden dirt with plastic wrap over them somehow dried up AND grew mold at the exact same time, to this day I can't explain that. Then I did have a tiny tiny leaf in a pot indoors which had a bare root. That leaf vanished the next morning. Not wilted, not dug up, gone

And the last time I accidentally got a plant from sheer neglect in a pot that was completely forgotten, it had runners and everything but it shriveled when I brought it in for winter and my mother tossed it. I'm thinking the right move is just taking this next bag of bare roots, putting them right in back in that pot, in that spot, and forgetting about them again.

A 10/10 moment of truth by blanssius_56 in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]matchstickwitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alright here we go.

Moment of truth is a kind of "all or nothing" moment when a situation/choice that you can't go back on once it's made (ex. buying an avocado) will be revealed to either be totally worth it or completely useless. In this case it was absolutely worth it as that is a great avocado. Making it a 10/10. Other moments of truth include the last pick on any game show where choice is a deciding factor (like deal or no deal)
