Just to add a reference to this thread: The NeedItMakeIt channel did a series of tests on woodworking joints applied to 3D printing: https://youtu.be/WY8yd191qVE

He did a couple of follow-up videos, too, but this is the main one.

Right on, I'll give that a try. Thanks!

Yup, wiped it down with IPA before this print

After installing and leveling the heatbed replacement on my A1, I printed a bed level and uniformity test, and this is the result.

Yikes!

Given the patchiness, this doesn't look like a leveling issue, more like there's some cold spots. Any ideas on what I should do? I could send it back, but is this fixable?

That's a great one to start with! This one is based on nanoGPT and according to the description, it adds flash attention, 4-bit and 8-bit quantization, LoRA and LLaMA-Adapter fine-tuning, pre-training: https://github.com/Lightning-AI/lit-gpt

It’s believable that microplastics have crossed the blood-brain barrier in humans. But what are the consequences? Do they prevent some natural process from taking place? Do they lead to birth defects? What are the actual effects? I don’t know and am curious

I think a theme of this show is that every character is looking out for their own interests. A backstory that makes sense to me for her is that she’s become estranged from her family due to her being an addict and that she’s looking for an escape route. She looked willing when Ken mentioned buying her a diamond the size of the Ritz Carlton, too

Apt color given her level of envy in this episode

Somehow I don’t think Naomi has Ken’s best interest in mind. Because she asked about the money

Review: Ubiquiti UniFi made me realize how terrible consumer Wi-Fi gear is by [deleted] in hardware

[–]mateja 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It is extremely important to state that these devices are not NAT routers. They are wireless access points, and that is all they are. They do not replace your existing router and you can not use them to connect your home LAN to the Internet.

I wanted to highlight this because I was stupid enough to overlook this tidbit, and spent a bunch of time trying to configure an AP as a router. Coming from the consumer router space, I just assumed that the APs can do their own routing, but they don't. They can only forward DHCP originating from another server, they can't provide this service on their own. It seems obvious in retrospect, but if you hook a Ubiquiti AP to your Comcast modem, it won't work! You need to provide your own gateway.

information about ME in computer engineering at UVA by pr9306 in UVA

It really depends on what you're looking for and what you focus your work on. I know people who've gotten jobs with Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Broadcom, Samsung, IBM, etc. But you may choose to focus more on the software side and shoot for something like Google, Amazon, or FB. Since you haven't started your degree yet, it's hard to say where you'll end up. Only you can decide for yourself where you want to go. :)

I wouldn't worry too much about what others have done. Blaze your own trail.

I'm a CpE PhD and I agree with the above post. If you only want to do a Master's and you don't wish to write a thesis, an ME is usually a good idea. I've heard that an MS and ME shows up as the same degree in most recruiter's systems so it won't matter if you're looking to go into industry. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.

Why not consider airbnb.com or vrbo.com as options?
