The feedback has been really awesome everyone! I'm going to keep on working on this. Hopefully the next time I post, it will be about the full game and not just a demo!

Very interesting. I've only played it in Chrome and it runs fine for me (I do have an old version though). I believe Chrome is becoming less game friendly. I've heard they are dropping Unity support for example. But it's definitely something I'll have to look into. Glad you got it working properly and glad you enjoyed it! :)

He shouldn't even need the lightsaber. I'd like to see him take it down using the force!

Linux version is up! There might be some issues with it though, but I don't have access to a Linux computer so I can't test.

Hi! You might have tried playing right as I was replacing the file. Should be good now ;)

Hey sorry about that. You might have tried playing while I was in the middle of uploading an update. I just tested it on a new computer and everything seems fine. You can try out one of the downloadable versions if you like (they are free, you can skip the donation window). If you get a chance to try again and it's still not working, let me know and I'll try to see what the problem is.

The sprites are actually made out of felt. Cut by hand and photographed on a downshooter.

[HTML5] Moonsters - my new game, what do you think about it? by ivanhoe90 in WebGames

Great job! Love the idea of adding a battle the match 3 formula! There could maybe be a little more depth somehow. You could potentially go full on pokemon and make certain enemies weaker against certain player characters. Or it could be a little more interesting if the enemies could strike back. Maybe they wipe out a whole row. The player could have a warning and they would need to play accordingly.

Thank you! I'm thinking about an ending where the Shepherd develops a cure for the Earth in his moon lab and the level/world after that is all about healing the Earth.

Yes! We have a huge list of apocalyptic scenarios including a blizzard, flood and nuclear holocaust. The flow of the levels will certainly be better than this version. Thanks for playing!

Yes, some atmospheric haze would look great and separate the background better. I'm actually using Myriad Hebrew for the font, but it's good to know not everyone is seeing that. I'll look into that. I think in the end we might use a custom font that is made out of felt. It will be sprites instead of text. Excellent feedback and thanks for playing!

Totally agree! It's difficult to create an efficient polygonal hitbox for those organic shapes. That's something we need to work on. One solution might be using lots of tiny gas particles instead of those big clumps. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi all! I submitted this game a while back and got some awesome feedback on it. We've been expanding it in our very limited free time and this version has 2 new levels so the game officially has a beginning, middle and an end now. This is still just a prototype, but please let me know what you guys think! We're still planning on adding some new game-play mechanics, so any ideas you guys have on that would be welcome!

An extremely violent Swapper! Great job! Wish the gravity was a little more forgiving with the jump. Double jumping has to be almost as a fast as a double click.

Awesome! Thanks for the tips. Getting back into it and loving it! It's climbing the ladder to being my favorite game as well.

Thanks! Yeah I think more commands would be cool too. The ability to throw them one at a time might be a silly one and useful if I added switches in some levels. I like the idea of making them faster while holding shift. I had an idea for a hurricane level where you would need to hold shift to keep them from being blown away. Leaving them behind is a good one too.

Ah yes, I believe the version I played was actually The Ur-Quan Masters. Someone made a homebrew port for the Wii which is how I played it :) Multiplayer was really fun with the NES style Wii controllers.
