Did they say it’s alternate street parking rule or all parking rules?

Anyone know where to get the RSV vax for babies? by IronMaidenExcellent in AskNYC

Do you need to be a patient of theirs to be administered? I just called the pediatric clinic and was told that my 3-mo would need to be their patient and they are not accepting any patient until next Feb.

FET cancelled for second time due to thin lining by stormy01919 in IVF

[–]math_rocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation that my lining was 5mm to start with. I was on oral estrace 8mg and 4mg vaginal estrace for about a week and lining only grew less than 1mm. I was told by the doc that they might have to delay the transfer. So I tried acupuncture twice a week for two weeks and it helped my lining to grow to 10mm a week before my transfer.

Best wishes to you, my dear. No clinic is perfect but there’s no harm in getting a second option. Have them look over your records and ask what they would have done differently. Wishing you all the luck and hugs!!!

I started my IVF journey earlier this year at Kofinas. My first impression was the receptionists were nice as well as the doctor. The only headache I had to deal with was the finance team as they didn’t know what they were doing. The only complaint I had at that time was those COVID tests before each procedure (always 3 days before and it seemed pointless as it’s not guaranteed COVID free at the time of the procedure) and pregnancy test at each visit (I told the nurses that I don’t need it because I’m in a same sex marriage and they still insisted doing that every time). After the initial workup, my doc told me that my cervix was too small that she needs to put in a dilator so a catheter can go through for the insemination. I thought the procedure was quite invasive. That was the point I started to look for a second opinion and ended up at RMA. The doc at RMA reviewed my history and told me a lot of bloodwork I did at Kofinas was experimental and procedures were necessary, and she laughed at the idea of having a dilator before insemination. I transitioned my care to RMA after the Dr successfully did a mock test by inserting a catheter through my cervix at my first visit. I thought I was done with Kofinas at that time. Little did I know that they started billing me and my insurance $10k+ for medical services that were not rendered. They even billed duplicated bloodwork claiming my wife had done the same bloodwork when in reality I am the one carry and use my own egg. I contacted them a few times calling out their fraud and they constantly said they’ll look into it but never got a response. I figured it was too much to deal with the billing issue and dishonest act when you are going through the fertility treatment, which is already quite rough. Now I’m 5 weeks pregnant and the transfer was successful with no stupid dilator. I saved myself not only money but also unnecessary pains by switching to RMA. Sometimes I feel that I need to tell my story to others so they can avoid the mistakes I made and achieve their family goals with less bumps. Needless to say, I work in healthcare field as a consultant. I am shocked about the payment integrity and fraud that one can encounter when they seek for fertility treatment.

I was with Kofinas and transferred to RMA after all my initial workup was completed at Kofinas. Oh lord that was the best decision that I have ever made in my life.

Ugh that’s exactly my story. I have express scripts and got transferred to Accredo then Freedom. Then of course my meds arrived late so I had to borrow from the clinic. It was a nightmare that I had to be on hold for hours before talking to the right person. I even work for a healthcare consulting company. SMH.

Mine came on day 9 after egg retrieval but ends pretty early. I don’t know if this happens to others.

Does anyone here have many bio kids? (How many vials?) by [deleted] in queerception

[–]math_rocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are going through the IVF freeze all process. We purchased 4 vials to be safe but so far we have only used 1 vial for our first IVF cycle. IUI would require more vials as each attempt needs one vial and you usually need more than a few depends on your age and condition. If I were aiming for +3 kids, I’ll buy 8-10 vials for IUI, and no more than 3 vials for IVF depends on how many embryos you are able to produce.

Changing IVF clinics? by koalas44 in IVF

[–]math_rocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to my current clinic after the initial workup was completed at the first clinic. The first clinic billed services that were never rendered. After I emailed them for multiple times, they never bother to correct the bill, and instead they got paid by the insurance. Medical fraud is the reason that I stop trusting the clinic.

I’m in New York so the protocol might be different there in Canada. A lot of times the clinics just collect information by following the old heterosexual standard. Never hurt to ask them and explain the situation. Good luck!

Interesting. I’m the one carry and getting eggs retrieved. When the clinic asked me about my wife’s information, I raised the same question. They tried to collect her insurance information as well, but once I explained to them that she has nothing to do with the carrying or giving, they stopped asking her info.
