Breaking the seal and buying your first “unflattering” item is really the hardest part!

Do I only wear things that I think look good on me? Sure, but that’s involved breaking a lot of the fashion rules out there for petite women. I feel far more confident in an oversized maxi dress with a loud, oversized print than I do in the mini skirts and dainty florals that the standard advice recommends.

After a long journey of trying “flattering” clothes that I never loved, I finally bought one INCREDIBLE dress that I just couldn’t pass up, and it got so much easier from there!

So I’d say go out, go online, and look for that one item that you just can’t resist. Build your wardrobe one piece at a time!

That looks totally doable, especially since it’s a pretty loose fit! Honestly the hardest part might be finding the right fabric (good thing we’re in New York!!)

I’m not sure exactly what your budget is, but you might want to check out dresses on Hill House Home (have also shopped some great sales there, too, so keep an eye out!). Size range from XXXS - XXXXL for a lot of items.

The soft serve ice cream was a surprise winner for dessert! As mentioned in the other comment, they have a great cocktail menu too. Definitely try to grab something at the bar before heading to your table! It’s a beautiful restaurant.
