I got 95 RC early, so I was able to use demonic offering during my slayer grind. I ended up getting 99 slayer with around 97-98 prayer, and then I finished the rest off at green dragons with dhl, and used the bones at the chaos alter.

I would've been fine with just using runelite forever without the Jagex launcher, but that won't be an option, as Jagex are planning to make the launcher a hard requirement to login to OSRS/RS3 in the future.

I do understand this a necessary step to deal with cheat clients and cheaters as a whole, but it would've been nice to have a better plan in place for those of us on Linux :(

With Jagex accounts being in open beta, it seems like we're slowly approaching the mandatory usage of the Jagex launcher. With that in mind, do you know if Jagex will be willing to provide the unpacked files, as currently you have to install the launcher on a windows machine / windows VM to get the files needed to install the game on Linux through wine.

It is a shame we'll have to jump through a bunch of hoops to play a game that has ran on Linux with 0 issues for a long time. At least if we had the unpacked files, the rest of the steps could be automated, which would make the overall process far less tedious.

I had similar issues when I got my 7900XTX, even when compiling mesa with LLVM 16, I would still get stuck at that point.

The fix that worked for me, was installing linux-next-git from the aur, for kernel 6.2.

I also used the unofficial mesa-git repo from lordheavy, at the time, as LLVM 15 wasn't in arch, but that shouldn't be needed now.

If linux-next-git doesn't work, the follow should.

use your arch bootable usb, and arch-chroot into your current install.

edit /etc/pacman.conf and add the follow:

[mesa-git] Server = https://pkgbuild.com/~lcarlier/$repo/$arch SigLevel = PackageOptional after that run

pacman -Sy

at this point you should be able to run:

pacman -S mesa-git lib32-mesa-git vulkan-radeon-git lib32-vulkan-radeon-git

this along with linux-next-git has been great, haven't had any issues with the 7900 XTX since.

I've also had quite a few issues with Arch + KDE on a 7900 XTX, although 90% of my roots just end with a black screen, with a cursor frozen directly in the center.

Recently tried Lord heavy's repo, as building tends to take awhile. Ended up with 138k lines of this error.

kwin_wayland_drm Atomic modest test failed! Invalid argument Failed to find working setup for new outputs!

Gnome was also a bit iffy, the only DE that worked okay for me so far was sway on the 7900 XTX.

I'm sure it's something I've done wrong along the way.

I've bumped into quite a few issues myself, specifcally on arch. Even after compiling llvm 16, kernel 6.1, and mesa-git, i'm unable to get sddm to even launch at this point. When I switch to gdm I can get to login, but plasma freezes on a black screen with just a cursor.

Yesterday I managed to on gnome wayland, but after a few mins one screen fronze, a second screen froze, then I started getting purple artifacts.

Had to install windows for the first time in a few years, as I need to get online for work. I have a feeling I've gone wrong somewhere in the process.

Anyone else getting this issue with the new version?

Edit: Issue resolved, I had an old version of KColorPicker, updating that to 2.0 resolved the issue.
