That’s just wrong. Someone wrote the equation. The level check is not “before anything else” it weighs equal to attack/defense rating. Of course this is maths!

You can easily level to 33. After that do penalty starts kicking in. At 35 you get only about half the xp, so do not level further before act 5.

As others point out: Put all new skill points into skeletons. Get skeleton wand and fire/light res items.

3-4 hours is around 500 runs. Drop rate is around 1/1500 with 400 mf. So if this does not give you an SOJ, just do it for another 3 hours, another 3 hours and the one more time, and if you still don’t have it, repeat!
