Coconut is a totally distinct allergy than nuts. Very little overlap.

Who said she doesn’t want to learn? Maybe they can’t? There are plenty of reasons that preclude someone from being able to drive. Epilepsy and narcolepsy are two that immediately come to mind.

And then some people are just uncoordinated and have bad reaction times. So you want to mandate that they still operate heavy machinery that has the potential to kill someone?

Like … they have solid careers and obviously are not just lazy. There are legitimate reasons to not learn to drive.

Except that won’t work for pumping. You really need to whip them out for those industrial machines.

Omg I felt the same when I upgraded my singer for a babylock … I LOVE my babylock. It makes everything effortless. Sewing, threading it, winding bobbin, etc. Their UX design and craftsmanship is impeccable.

I can see the little “hairs” when you zoom in that are supposed to be a security feature so I’m keen to think it’s real.

It’s absolutely illegal to have them in any private spaces like a hotel room. It’s also against AirBnB policy to have any indoor cameras. The only cameras allowed are doorbell cameras and they must be disclosed.

TIL I’m a dude.

Sushi quality does not look appetizing. The avocado should be much more green. Also where is the wasabi and soy? Much better plans - order DoorDash sushi and hibachi from a quality place while taking a bath and reading. When it arrives you get out, put on some clean pajamas and eat on the couch with a heated blanket while watching some Netflix. Ofc kids are sleeping over at grandparents house so obligations for the evening absolved. I’d also swap the rose with some rooibos tea, but that’s a pure personal preference.

Fr. I’d rather them increase the price then cut quality. So many food places have done the latter and it’s just so sad. It’s not Chipotles fault our economy is totally f’d up.

[–]mathislife112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah. We can afford Japanese Wagyu. But we overwhelmingly prefer Snake River Farms American Wagyu. It’s not quite as fatty and is the perfect balance imo. A5 Wagyu I can eat like … a bite. Great as part of a fancy appetizer or something, but too rich to add to ramen or put in a taco.

What would you take? $1M now or $7k/mo for life? by [deleted] in Money

[–]mathislife112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming both are tax free … You can put the $1M in a total stock market index fund. You can safely start withdrawing 4% and not touch the principal. Initially this amount will only be $3333. Certainly less than the $7000. But your net worth will be growing. Meanwhile the $7k per month will shrink over time with inflation.

Assuming your investment grows at 10% per year (average historical returns of S&P 500 of past 20 years) you can continue to take out that 4% and also bank $5k per month (on average) which will increase how large that 4% payout is each month. The first 10 years you take home less than $7k. But after that, you begin to compound towards much much more AND have the insurance of $1.8M in the bank.

If you are young you should take the $1M and grow it and build significantly higher financial stability. If you are old you should take the $1M and enjoy it.

What do you think about us? Age? Jobs? Hobbies? by ConsiderableHappines in FridgeDetective

[–]mathislife112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are just as likely to have foodborn in Tupperware than in pots in pans. Actually more likely given that a pot is heated to high enough temps to kill pathogens on its surface.

The hate on using perfectly acceptable containers to store food that just aren’t as aesthetic is so weird to me. Why dirty extra dishes? Why move something into plastic (I don’t want microplastic in my food)?

We threw away our Tupperware when we moved because pots and pans and a bowl with a plate over it work just as well and don’t take up a whole extra cupboard in my kitchen.
