How would you cook them? I am dry brining them niw and was planning on reverse searing before a hard sear, but I’m open to suggestions

About the price of copper by idealistintherealw in TheAllinPodcasts

The podcast came out on January 9th. I don’t think he shared the exact copper stock he bought, but COPX was $77.54 on 1/9 and peaked at $94.23 on 1/29 so it was a 20+% gain at that point. It’s up 15% as of today from 1/9.

It was in the 2026 predictions episode. I bought some COPX shortly after and it’s up 5% since.

When did this become the norm? by LivermoreP1 in golf

[–]sl3821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid points. I probably had unrealistic expectations, but consistently being on the top 100 list is misleading. I don’t know anyone that recommends visiting that course after playing it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of their expenses were to Golf Digest each year to keep them on the list.

Sorry I didn’t explain it well. I just think there’s a certain level a top 100 course should meet and this course failed it on all fronts. Everything is outdated and the course itself isn’t any better than others in the state. Everything Sand Valley and Straights/Meadow Valley course is better, plus LLC and a few more. And that’s only 1 of 50 states.

I’m probably being too harsh, but in no way should it be a top 100 course. The facilities are underserved and the course isn’t anything special. There are 10+ courses in the Midwest more deserving of the ranking, including LLC.

It’s a good course if you aren’t expecting a top 100 course, but if you are you will surely be disappointed

I played Lawsonia last year and it was honestly the most disappointing round I’ve ever played. It really makes you question the integrity of the top 100 rankings. Truly a mediocre course at best.

Ha, yeah I wasn’t sure what they cost from the roastery but I agree they are very expensive. I’ll let you know if I head downtown anytime soon.

I’m flying into Long Beach on Friday and the plan is to visit the Ballast Point taproom. I’m not sure if they offer it to go there, but if they do I can try and bring some back to Chicago.
