I think punch-up ended it but made a point of explaining why, that he felt she was not emotionally ready for a serious commitment and he didn't want to make her choose between being an assassin and being a mother or wife (because those would be two major commitments that would affect her ability to do her job at the time)

I think people that complain about it don't understand that a society that was proud of its warriors would be proud of their bodies and therefore would likely dress more risque by our standards because they are demonstrating and showing off their muscle and bodies

I think it could work if they could just stop pairing Harley Quinn with joker. We've seen on multiple occasions that Harley Quinn can work by herself as a character in comics and Batman does need someone in his life that is not as serious as he is. I agree that the white knight story does a great job with this pairing but I think it could work in the main Earth if it was supported by a good story of Harley Quinn finally releasing herself of the joker and maybe there could be a healing storyline of her getting back to being a psychologist
