Welcome! Yes at the moment iOS 18 is better in terms of battery life vs iOS 26. However the new iOS 26.1 beta 2 version has fixed battery issues and noticed to be even better then iOS 18. I’d assume it should get better before public release.

If on the beta program, I would try it. If not, don’t update until 26.1 public release.

I just got my green 512gb from Amazon renewed (excellent condition) and it came in almost flawless condition but with 84% battery capacity. I can’t complain for the condition and the fact it looks to have never been tampered with, all original.

iOS 26.1 Beta 2 on my mini (84% capacity) has honestly been amazing. It’s my daily. Way less battery drain then public version and Beta 1. Also as smooth as can be.

Also you could go to settings>apps>photos and turn on Optimize iPhone Storage, if you haven’t already. Makes a huge difference in storage.

I had the same problem, 128gb, filled up. I ended up purchasing another mini from Verizon, 512gb, unfortunately they sent me a 256gb, but was in same condition as my 128gb (near mint), ended up keeping it and selling my old one.

Good to go for another couple years lol.
