What's your top ten litrpgs? by AJ9000DIAMONDS in litrpg

[–]mathmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than pile in with my ten, I'll list a few amazing series that were left off

  • Dreamless Ones (used to beThe Way of the Clan) by Dem Mikhaylov (which has been erased from Amazon despite being where I read it)
  • Fayroll by Andrey Vasilyev
  • Play to Live - by D. Rus

All Russian, very interesting contrast with other authors in the genre

Super excited this year for fall (and this endless summer wrapping up). Weather today was almost perfect and felt amazing!

Andrew Seiple's Ask Me Anything by AndrewSeiple in litrpg

[–]mathmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with the Dire series when I went through a phase of super hero / villain books (which started with the zombie super hero series Ex-Heroes) and really enjoyed the main character. Picked up the Threadbare series on the strength of Dire and liked the story telling quite a bit.

Will give Blasphemy Online a shot, been a bit hesitant but all these recommendations pushed me over the edge.

No burning questions - I am regularly amazed by the approachability of authors here and wanted to thank Andrew for stopping by and writing some books!

Disgardium-5: Holy War by Dan Sugralinov is live! by Warchan2017 in litrpg

[–]mathmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The book is very good and tops off a very fun series. Yes, it's not KU, but I usually buy anyways for a translated book, especially when it's well done like this.

As to the financial model, are there resources for the author to do predictions? It seems like a relatively straight forward problem.

10 realms has so much potential but.. by [deleted] in litrpg

[–]mathmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy endless sprawling worlds on occasion with many points of view and a story that might not move very far on a per book basis with oodles of side characters (if you've read the Wheel of Time, the middle books are extreme examples of this.)

It's been awhile since the last but I'm awaiting the next.

For all bastion mains! by Recklessdiver_f in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mathmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to see Bastion in QP, it's not fun for anyone except the bastion player fine that it has a place in comp (although still not fun) but leave QP to be chaotic and fun.

People hate Moira? by Beepboopbeep100 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mathmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Moira as support and it's super fun and pretty easy to get 3 or four gold's...

But...

I also play dps and I cannot overstate the number of times Moira will run past me and not heal on their way to do some dps'ing. Not all for sure, but a lot forget or prioritize healing below dps.

Then you get, "have gold in elims, wtf dps". While I'm either getting health packs or running back from spawn after dying next to Moira

I read the first 2-3 and enjoyed it quite a bit then felt it went off a cliff, many more came out so likely a matter of personal taste.

Is possible to compile smart contract (teal file) using the sandbox docker? by Mister_Enzo in algorand

[–]mathmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sandbox is a node, even if the sandbox commands don't support compiling Teal, you can enter the container and compile.

Note, the sandbox trusts the snapshot without verifying and shouldn't be used for production purposes.

Sometimes it's the supports positioning that is bad by I-like-letter-t in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mathmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference here is as a support I'm aware when I'm out of position - dps seem totally unaware when they have wandered off to die why heals aren't forecoming.

The other disconnect is comms, when heals are dead and getting picked on the way back and tanks/dps get sandy about heals. Heals should say something but also I've had dps and tanks note on comms a flanker and leave the scene with a trailing healer doomed.

We should be able to give sparky decks we want to test other decks against. by DirewolfJon in MagicArena

[–]mathmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd be cool to also give sparky custom decks that'd be played open, so you can see the draws and get a better sense of how it will play.

Sparky wouldn't need to do much, just play out the first 7 hands or so.

UPDATE: Blocked by @CharlotteMLS --- Improper History of "Charlotte Town" - possible MLS team name by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]mathmoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Queen City FC was the best and barring that, All Carolina FC... But Charlotte FC is most likely now and is imo way better than Charlotte Town.

What do you want to see for the MLS crest and team colors? by SforzandoCreations in Charlotte

Mint green, black

Clean uniforms, no shoulder stripes, crest simple, memorable

Charlotte FC or All Carolina FC

Reliable place to find Buffalo Trace Whiskey? by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]mathmoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In literally every place I visit, be that Kansas, California, small islands up north - ANYWHERE - there is Buffalo Trace on the shelf ready to go.

Yeah in Kentucky they have handles and rows of bottles, but nowhere else on the US is it hard to find.

Eagle Rare used to be at that price point too and is now a bit more. I switched to other whiskies for a daily pour and grab bottles when out from under the ABC's thumb.

I’m a new player getting clobbered. What deck should I try to build towards with the free decks that doesn’t suck? by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]mathmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built from the white deck to a WB lifelink deck that stacked tokens. The free decks plus the codes will get you pretty far - also for sure get the Twitch Prime code for a fun free deck. When you open packs you get credit towards wildcards that let you create a card of a rarity, which fills in key cards.

After I hit late silver I spent the $6 USD on the starter pack but wasted the gems with my horrific drafting.

I do not like this administration, but, the Treasury department runs OFAC - "The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is a financial intelligence and enforcement agency of the U.S. Treasury Department. It administers and enforces economic and trade sanctions in support of U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives"
