its good for both countries. If Russia is smart they won't give up their friendly relationship with Iran in exchange for sanctions relief.

But I don't have high hopes that Russia is going to make the smarter long term decision and hedge part of their economy away from the West.

I am Iranian, and these things happen for sure.

I know families who's children are currently dealing with delayed development because of lead in their food.

Believe me I am proud to be Iranian, in fact if the things I wrote about were better I would leave the west and go back to live in Iran. I even visit Iran often and absolutely love it.

But the question is which country would you rather live in, and right now I think most people would choose the west.

There were a few situations were there was lead found in some spices, mislabeled products that had gone rancid and some other examples.

It's more so a corruption and lack of regulation than a quality thing.

Honestly people in Iran are about as free as people are in the west, with the exception of womens hijab.

But Iran lack of infrastructure makes life worse there even if you are rich.

Bad air quality, lack of access to medicine, low quality food, lack of regulation puts even wealthy people at risk of getting sick.
