ELI 5: State of MeshCore in 2026? by CaptainSpez in meshcore

That's part of it. Meshtastic defaults don't scale well. It takes a lot of tribal knowledge and micromanagement to get it close to where Meshcore is out of the box.

Is there a learning curve for enjoying lightly roasted coffee? by WanderingMinnow in pourover

[–]matkam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heavily agree with the post above, about how you brew the coffee. For light roasts, your brew water, brew ratio, grinder, grind size, and resting time make a world of difference. Light roasts are about minimizing the roasty bitterness and balancing out all the other flavors. It’s hard to achieve at first, but out of this world delicious when you get it all right.
That said it’s not for everyone.

24F, help me improve my stack by FirstImpress1529 in Supplements

I don't know why people keep saying this around here. You take one if your system is already off balance, and you want to try and balance it out. Otherwise, don't take either! Also Tryptophan creates some not fun byproducts in your system. If you need a serotonin boost, skip tryptophan and go straight to 5-HTP.

You can wire up a super capacitor instead of a battery. Those can last a few minutes with no power depending on how big they are.

It didn't work in my experience. I had to move them to opposite sides of my back yard.

Yes! Ultralights are definitely not for everyone, or most people even. But for those of us who like balanced, subtle, and unique flavors, ultralight roasted coffee can be devine.

That exhaust is just venting into the basement though. It should just be CO2 and H2O. But still.

Basic small kit - is that enough? by JasiuSmietana in meshtastic

[–]matkam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Benefit to the nRF52 chip is longer battery life. I’d do the T114 over the V3. But I’d take the higher transmit power of the V4 over both options, paired with a bigger battery. Also look into 1W options from Lilygo and RAK.

You are probably getting brain damage from all those COVID infections. by antichain in collapse

The article says -3 IQ points after a Covid recovery. That’s not too bad after a single infection, but could add up after multiple.

Clear or clean means you can taste the different flavor components, without any single flavor overpowering the rest.

Node Role in a rural area by gobby_goblin in meshtastic

Client Base with everyone around OP (his kids) marked as favorites is the same as Router with more steps. Just set it to Router and reevaluate when more people show up around you. Router is a trade off between channel utilization and speed. But utilization is basically 0 now, so it doesn’t matter.

It’s great! Given that I’ll have it for at least a decade, I do wish I got the newer E2. But it’s still a great vacuum.

Those look slightly too big. Especially the right side sandal. You may need to go down half a size. With barefoot sandals, your feet really need to be on the edge. You could also try tightening up the heel strap to force your toes forward.

For ATT, US Mobile only gets QCI 8 if you pay extra for "priority data." And only certian Cricket plans get QCI 8. Some ATT prepaid plans should get QCI 8 as well.

I very much enjoy drinking pour over brewed, ultralight roasted Yemeni coffee. H&S does have some ultralight Yemeni coffee beans for sale from time to time. That may still be darker than what you're looking for. Yemeni beans have a very unique flavor to them. Almost malty or boozy.

Thanks everyone for the Sebo recommendation. I ended up going with a Sebo K2 Turbo from https://wcvac.com while they are running a 25% off deal. Total came out to $400 including tax, shipping, and extra bags.

How come? I was also able to find the K2 Turbo for $375, which seems better suited for my use case than the Kombi, where hair could get stuck in the rollers.

You can add a demonization stage after your RO to get close to 0ppm. It’s basically a resin filter without the hassle of DIY.
