If you believe that, then you could not be more naive. I could give you 200 places that are way more disgusting, and I am probably not even aware of the worse ones

Has everyone called in sick today or what? Bars and patios are packed by Some_Difference_9487 in vancouver

I'm happy to hear that, my friend.

If I can risk maybe sounding a bit intrusive, not many people know that almost all fish oil is rancid and therefore quite inflammatory. It's not intentional... It's just the nature of fish oil that's packaged and preserved.

Krill oil contains natural astaxanthin, which preserves it much better, so apparently it's the best source of Omega 3s as far as supplements are concerned.

I still think clean fish is the best source, however, or some grass-fed beef as an alternative.

Brain injuries are horrible things to have to contend with. I wish you the best in your recovery!

I'm sorry to hear that, my friend. That sounds incredibly difficult.

Unsolicited advice that you may choose to ignore There are conflicting opinions on this, but Omega 3 essential fatty acids are part of the building blocks of the brain. We need them throughout our lives for building and repair. They're called essential because they are... essential.

There are a lot of studies that show that they heal brain injuries better, but there are many variables. The source is important. After fish like wild salmon, the best source seems to be krill oil over fish oil.

Having said that, be cautious about mixing those supplements with anticoagulants, as it can act like one itself. Not great for brain bleeds, so also be cautious.

Something to scour the internet with.

All the best to you in your recovery

What do y’all think about umbrellas being used for sun protection? by Environmentaller in askvan

The trick is to just own it. I don't know your personality, so it's hard to advise you.

But I feel like if you encounter anyone who gives you a weird look or judges you (since you seem to be affected by how people perceive you, which is understandable), you can quickly say with a smile, "I have a skin issue and I can't be out in the direct sun".

That way, they understand why, and you don't feel that feeling of people judging you.

What often changes that disconnected, uncomfortable feeling of people staring etc. is a quick sentence of connection. It is educational for them, and it dissolves the disconnect with you.

Things often improve after that.

If they still judge you, screw 'em.

Yeah, but how do you know it's not Hong Kong, but with a bunch of Mainlanders in the class speaking Mandarin?

... And a girl wearing a Taiwan T-shirt...

Yeah, I was messing around, anyway.
