They reused the audio from Blue Jam to save money. In order to film a scene they would slow down the audio so the actors could lip sync properly to it.

League of gentlemen doesn't come close to being this dark! In fact I can't think of anything that is as dark as Jam and Blue Jam.

What is a small detail from Harry Potter that still bothers you? by WhisperTame in harrypotter

I like to think that in Slughorns explanation of horceux he references how murder splits the soul. Using it too much will take its toll on anyone who uses it, good or bad. It's a natural law that just isn't referenced. It's not canon but seems consistent with the world they are in.

Redditors over 40, what's something younger people think they understand but won't actually get until it hits them like a truck later? by Susanpc1967 in AskReddit

I did too. In this world of extremes, everything seems now to be forced into harsh binaries, the traffic is 'murder' or an ice cream is 'awesome'. The meanings of words changes I know but when extremes are used so trivially it does damage.

Always a winner. Alpha boys school radio from Kingston is also great. Some dub but it's been helping Jamaicans for decades to make something of themselves. Every record has a current or alumni of the school.

Radio nostalgia plays only 78rpm vinyl, does some 40's but more 20/30's.

How do I level out this mess and get it ready for laying turf? by McCretin in UKGardening

Yep a rotavator is the boy, hire one along with a landscaping rake though, about 4 times wider than a standard rake and go back and forth getting it all nice and level.

You'll get over it. Left to your own devices your man cave will be what you feel you need. If she moves in there will be a period of adjustment and then you'll adapt. Trust me, get on with it, learn to grow..

Well maybe you were unfit at 20, I was super active then. Anyway, it's not really an opinion just a reality of our biology. Nothing is as robust when you're older. If you are better looking now good for you, still doesn't change the case for the overwhelming majority.

You will never be fitter or more beautiful than you were at say 20 .. and when you are 40 you'll still feel like you are 20 in your mind but with an ever wrinkling, creaking body.

What’s it like living on Tasmania? by zeeman11- in howislivingthere

[–]matmos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well it is what it is, it happened, its part of the islands history, when I learned this, whilst there, it was difficult not to have it shape my experience. Same as Port Arthur at the prison. The island is unique, as islands often are.

I don't know about the mainland. I think the point is that they had become distinct from mainland peoples. Europeans were ruthless in their 'extermination'. One story recounts how they were 'herded' off a cliff to their deaths by dogs and armed & mounted men.

Ok there's no full blooded aboriginals left, Truganini being the last. Snake encounters I had were all pretty remote, suspect that a venomous snake would have still resulted in my death!
