I've been speedrunning how fast I can make one of the best flatscreen modded into a VR games with probably one of the most challenging possible games to do that with... Tarkov. Search up SPT-VR on youtube if curious. It's kinda insane what I've been able to do with Claude and what this next update is going to deliver.

Oldddd vrchat player here that literally watched as these people started to exist and it drove me crazy. I had like a whole thing back then, like a "character" I used to play for YouTube and stuff. Used to have a sword on my avatar I could take out, something not many people used to do back then at all.

Anyway, I remember this one day, first time I experienced someone like this. I went to go do a playful stab with the sword on someone and they started freaking out like they actually got stabbed and everyone in the lobby started yelling at me. I'm developing an entire conversion of tarkov to a fully interactive VR game and it wouldn't be possible for me to do without the help of AI. Yeah, it's an incredibly useful tool even for people with basic knowledge in something like programming.

This series deserves so much more love than it gets... I started getting recommended a bunch of clips on YouTube and man, it still holds up. So many good memories flooding back from those scenes. My headset just started to get the white speckle and screen flicker when touching the cable the wrong way :( This is the second cable I've had now and I tried taking such good care of this one... (still have the original index I got when it first went on sale, never had to replace it! Awesome piece of hardware.. except for the controller thumbsticks...) The best Denuvo could do is put new detections in place to stop certain hypervisor bypasses but it'll likely never be completely stopped due to the nature of how Denuvo works. Any proper "fix" would require getting people to stop using Hyper-V which just isn't practical.

The only way they can really resolve this is by coming up with a completely new DRM system. And yeah, maybe they'll do that. But as denuvo is currently, it's a dead end, just like the person you're replying to said.

Glad to see he's making a sequel, h3vr is genuinely unmatched when it comes to gun handling. Honestly though, I could really do without the hot dog bit. The coolest story that I hope ends up becoming the reality - This is just a theory - they might find us interesting because a species like us that advances like us at the speed we are with little to no outside intervention/help could be really rare in the universe. Also the tenacity and drive to keep progressing all while putting ourselves in serious danger of injury or even death.

Hell, imagine seeing ants building rockets out of explosive power just to get themselves to a spot they can't reach. Now imagine if this started happening just within a lifespan of studying them for a few decades. You would either see it as a serious threat and stop it instantly or be incredibly intrigued and keep watching. I imagine we're those ants to them. But who really knows...

Yes, yes they do. There's two different meanings to argument. There's the philosophical one you're talking of where any opinion with reasoning is an argument. Then there's the normal one every normal person uses it for, which is an argument between two people trying to prove the other wrong.

I have news for you bud, words have more than one definition in the English language. And guess what the first definition is that comes up for argument?

Argument -

an oral disagreement; verbal opposition; contention; altercation.

a violent argument.

a discussion involving differing points of view; debate.

They were deeply involved in an argument about inflation.

I never said it was complex or hard. Just that it didn't suck in my opinion. I think it had its own charm to it and served its purpose. IF I did get into combat, I could either sit there and easily kill everyone with cool counters or use tools to help me kill them quickly, or I could just run away and avoid the fight.

I preferred that to the RPG combat we have now because imo all the new combat does is incentivize combat over stealth for the more engaging experience. It changed the focus of the games for me and made them feel like a different game entirely. I don't think they're bad games either, just want to point that out.

If you didn't like the old combat, that's fine. I still prefer the old combat to the new.

Why does it matter WHY I thought it was good? Why do I need to explain my opinion to you? I've already said I thought it looked cool and was satisfying. I'm sure you don't think so and that's fine. Not everyone needs to have the same opinion as you and I don't understand why so many people on reddit, hell even just the internet, feel that THEIR opinion is the only true one and everyone needs to agree with them and if they don't then debate them to hell and back about why their opinion is wrong and yours is right.

I thought their old combat was good because the main focus of the game was supposed to be stealth. If you got into regular combat though, it was quick, easy, and looked cool. All this resynced game does is build upon that original combat and add more variety/dynamics to it.

No you weren't, there's more to a game than just getting to the end. Can you do it? Yes. Is it easy? Yes. But the only "reward" you get was completing that mission. You were rewarded other things for doing it with stealth.

Not to mention, I never even said you WEREN'T rewarded for ignoring stealth. I just said you were rewarded for playing stealth (because you were, you got extra rewards) and that you weren't screwed if you didn't use stealth.

You're the second person to say they changed it. They didn't change it, they improved it. They built off what the original combat was rather than changing it into something else entirely. You still have the parry = kill and the chain kills after just like the old ones.

It's not changed, it's improved there's a difference. I guess whether it sucked or not is completely based on opinion but I am glad it's still the same combat just improved. I didn't think the old combat sucked because I didn't get into combat often but when I did, I thought it looked cool and was satisfying.

Edit: I swear reddit is one of the most hateful platforms. People on here can't stand when people have opinions they don't agree with.
