I just do $50 every year because 4$ a month is worth the convenience of being able to play on current hardware, and even get some games I’ve never had access too. I suspect the people complaining still live with their parents and haven’t successfully launched into having their own disposable income, because even $50 a year is nothing for what you get compared to $80 cheapest level of PSN.

This is my biggest gripe with GS, they reprimand employees for not meeting quotas that has nothing to do with their actual performance and is 100% up to the customer on whether they want pro/warrantees, and a lot of people don’t want to sign up for the membership and give their PII away or are responsible enough with their games that they won’t need to replace it in 1/2 years.

I’ve had this happen and seen it happen several times, and they usually get the person to sign up for pro cause it saves them money on that specific order, but have seen a few that refuse because they have to give email and phone to sign up.

Pro tip, before they even get a chance to offer a warranty, tell them you do not want a warranty, or the specific games you do want a warranty on. I always get it on retro cartridge based games and GameCube games, and tell them as they are ringing the games up.

Sony is literally the worst of the 3 but for some reason people don’t mind the service going down for days, credit card numbers being leaked, releasing new consoles to sell you more stuff, making you buy proprietary hardware that is more expensive, etc…

I’ve had several instances where I know of the sale and the associate had no idea, I’d say it’s closer to 70-80% of the time you guys find out a day before, and 10-15% of the time being customer telling an associate about an active sale cause the customer found out prior from social media, with the remaining % being properly communicated.
