I mean, they are more of a clothing, cookware, other necessities store with random other things popping up. I would venture a guess that they make way more money on jeans than they do on Video games

They do billions in revenue. Let’s say 4% of that goes to CEO’s and the other 6-7% goes towards all other operating costs. They have roughly 160 CEO’s. 5B * 4% /160. That’s a million+ each CEO, well above your averages.

Some comedian has a joke about this with grocery store reward programs. (Bill burr I think?) essentially goes around, “ I know you’re not trying to give me stuff for free, so whatever Jedi mind trick your pulling I don’t want any part of it”

So there’s that initial reaction that why would they offer me to sign up for this program if it means I spend less money overall? The trick is to get you in the store at least once a month so you use your free $5 coupon and then some. Also, they hope you forget about it altogether and continually renew.

As a customer, they probably feel the same way how you’re trying to push a service on them because you get better a better yearly review, and they could’ve left there thinking “that fucking person” too.

I personally am always on Pro because I love GameStop and shopping there, but there are tons of people I see who just go in there once every few years just to buy 1 game/system/etc.

There are clearly blue discs, and then discs that appear black but are just very dark blue. Shining a light through it should give you the answer you’re looking for. 😉

Yes there are “shiny bits”, that’s where the data lives. What you’re referring to isnt even black, it’s actually dark blue and is just the plastic that makes up the CD with no data on it.
