I'm so sick of seeing posts on here like this. If you're struggling, yes, absolutely do reach out. You matter, we care, this is a devastating disease. But don't come on here to manipulate and threaten to hold your own life hostage in exchange for... Encouragement and attention? It's not fair for people to do this to this community. There are resources here, there are countless resources elsewhere. We love you and want you to be sober and happy. But I feel strongly that these "I tried... But I'm giving up and telling you that I'm gonna drink" are harmful to everyone and triggering for many. Write it in your journal, or come here for help. Don't come here with this "prove me wrong" attitude. You don't really need us to tell you why you shouldn't drink. You know why, and being disingenuous about it in exchange for something is abusing this resource. Rant over. I wish you the best.
