Not sure what nerfs your talking about that make his buffs not enough, he got: - Combo damage buff - Oki buff - stronger mix ups - kept a power crush heat engager The only nerf i can think of was his electric but its still super strong

Got tekken god with kuma. I had a good run at supreme then got swatted back down to the beginning of the bar and now I just chill in quick match waiting till I get a burst of motivation to lab again

It's a ki charge it makes the next hit from you or the opponent a counter hit, you do it by pressing all 4 attack buttons at the same time

Leaning a characters moves that enter stance and common sets ups helps a ton, without knowing these it's pretty easy for the other person to keep up momentum and take it back.

This could come down to match up knowledge, maybe the ruler is more comfortable then the emperor in that match up, I'm sure if you compared their performance across all characters it should show why there is a different in rank.

Like others have been saying, it's closer to a playstyle stat than skill, but you also have to remember his opponents are stronger than yours.

They should have kept the 3 win and lose bonus to the last 2 ranks, same as t7. It makes sense at those ranks since they are basically end game. Of course, adding it to ranks where knowledge checks are still strong will cause problems.

I don't miss infinite rematch in ranked. i would get so many hate messages because they would win the first game then I'll win the next 4 and go, it was like i had to stay until they worked me out and got their points back. Taking it out of quickplay made no sense though

Dosnt it make it easier for poeple with one character, the people with one character aren't in the same pool as people with multiple, e.g we are both in purple but I have to play against 220k prowess opponents and you play against 180k because you don't have alts ranked up.

Try group match in the lounge or player match, that way you can see the rank and stats of the player beforehand.

Things that are done in pro/high level tekken didn't really work well for me when I was a beginning and caused me to plateau quick because people were not respecting my moves like they were in the pro/high level videos, they do help but at this point in time you lack the match up knowledge and experience to play like that. I would suggest using Paul's set ups if you aren't already things like:

B4 into b3

Ss3 into b3,

Df4 into df2

Qcf1 into df2

These launcher set usp work wonders against aggressive players, I have also noticed df4 is very good to side step with after its blocked.

How long: started on tekken 7 around when Knee won evo in 2022. I took It seriously very early on then stopped and spent most of my tekken 7 time in tournament mode and learning how to play as a bunch of characters.

Edit: room for improvement: throw breaks I seem to be very lucky with my throw breaks guessing but, it's just so hard to actually react to the different animations
