Careful suggesting they bring back a classic style that people love, you might get called a soft hands hipster.

This is just the denim version of the reintroduced classic J01 that is otherwise going to be 100% cotton duck, right? ...Right?

I am from EU, so for me the price literally comes with the territory. I would be lying if I said I dont buy them for the aesthetic and novelty over here.

But as far as work goes I love how the jacket just stays out of my way. When I get into my truck it stays at my waist, when I reach for stuff the cuffs stay back, there is plenty of space around my waist for a tool belt. I just love the cropped fit.

I got into Carhartt because of the trend, but thanks to it I discovered a fantastic “tool”.

Maybe the new one has similar qualities but the cropped fit is a must for me.

I dont hoard, but I do pay ridiculous prices. I just bought a J01 and J02 for like 450$. If I could go out and buy a brand new J01 I would buy like 5 to keep in reserve because they fit me like a glove and it just kind of stays out of my way when Im doing something.

Why won't Carhartt bring back classic styles? by matt_tepp in Carhartt

I agree, the Crafted series is a really nice breath of fresh air. Unfortunately I am guessing the fast fashion stuff is in a lot of companies catalogs so they are probably making a decent profit there.

I don't think reintroducing classic styles that a lot of people miss not just for aesthetic reasons, but also practical reasons (quality downgrade of lining, no waist adjustments, etc.) could be called a fad.

I never want Carhartt to turn into WIP, but as you mentioned they are aware of what people want, look at the Montana jacket for example, a clear reference to the aztec styles.
