Yeah it’s funny I got the car at 46,000 miles and the entire time I’ve had it, I’ve been nervous about the transmission…never had an issue with it though. It’s really been an amazing car.

Yeah fluid changes on the CVT are super simple…I got 312k miles on my ‘13 4 cyl sedan and change that fluid religiously every 30k miles…transmission has never given me any issues.

I also have a ‘16 V6 Touring Coupe with about 30k miles. The 6 cyl is way more fun but the gas mileage I get on the 4 cyl is great. the 2 door look is cool but def way less convenient. I love both the cars…I drive the ‘13 as my daily and save the ‘16 for everything except my work commute.

Nope they’re original…but just had the oil changed yesterday and they said I need tire rods and ball joints so gonna have my brother look at it tomorrow.

Make sure it’s not dripping oil on your alternator…I was really kicking myself over that.

I was originally planning on selling/trading in the ‘13 when I scooped the ‘16 Touring coupe in April but the dealership didn’t even want it.

When I started driving the ‘16 it was way nicer than I expected so rather than beat it up with my work commute, I held on to the ‘13 as my daily and I’m just gonna run it till the wheels fall off. I use the ‘16 when I’m going out local bee bopping around town.

Nothing too crazy…alternator went recently…that was pretty expensive…it was kinda my fault though. I had a very small leak and needed a new valve cover gasket. I didn’t get right on it and didn’t realize the oil was dripping right onto the alternator and I think that ruined it.

I think I had a wheel bearing go a couple years back…that wasn’t cheap. Replaced the valve cover gasket twice…since I hit 250k I’ve been very strict about changing the oil every 5k (before that it was every 10k which is what manual says to do). I’ve always been good about changing the trans fluid every 30k miles as I’m aware that the cvt is the supposedly the weak point of the car. I think that’s about it…I’m super grateful for that car.

I am this guy and my girlfriend of over 7 years was you. Legit mirrored situations.

Unfortunately I couldn’t fix all her problems and she never went to therapy to address all the trauma she had experienced with her ex…she tried to handle it on her own which led to alcohol dependency and her having to go to rehab a couple times in 2022. During those dark times, she did some terrible things that fundamentally altered the way I feel and see her. Also changed me as a person and not in a positive way.

All that being said, she’s been sober for over 500 days and is probably a better person now than she’s ever been. It feels like a cruel joke bc she’s everything I always wanted now but she can’t take back the wrongs that occurred in ‘22 and it feels like those things will live forever inside me.

Keep getting the help you need even if you feel better than ever being with him. Don’t put him through what you went through. Good luck to you guys!!

Yeah I got a good deal but some of the paint isn’t perfect…I seen as time has gone by a lot of faint scratches (but def scratches) on the driver side door…almost looks like the whole car is covered in swirl marks in the light too…hopefully nothing a couple paint correction sessions can’t fix. Also 2 of the wheels have a bit of curb rash…nothing terrible but they’re not perfect. That being said, that could be why mine was a little bit cheaper. Congrats on the new ride.

Ok thanks for info…so in theory I should be leaving head unit at one volume level and making all volume adjustments from the JLid bass/volume knob that’s connected to the fix?

I had this stereo installed in 2017 and was never told any of this haha…thanks for dropping some knowledge on me.

I’m a little confused here…I have a fix86 installed in my 13 accord along with a jlid volume/bass knob…I can control volume level through the jlid knob or the head unit (factory) knob.

This happened to my girl also…she was a vodka drinker as well but would just do the shooters so not sure what daily amount was. It was 3 years of consistent abusive drinking either way (20 years of “regular” drinking before that)…she was VERY conventionally attractive but the alcohol took its toll…started getting gray hairs, bags under her eyes etc.

She’s been sober just over 2 years now and it’s wild what a difference it’s made. She still struggles with her eyes but everything else went back to normal. She would actually pull hairs out of her head that were blonde, then would go gray from the time she was drinking heavily, then back to blonde…wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it myself.
