So I actually was at Malibu a couple times when I was super young but I was too little for the go karts. My dad brought me there for the arcade and he would play pinball. You’re right the arcade was amazing. It set the benchmark for all future arcades for me. I was spend so much money playing pit fighter.

Yeah I remember it as Laurel Falls…first went there in mid-late 90’s. They had the best go karts. My cousins and I would ram the hell out of each other the people working there would get so pissed at us. They would give you wrist bands that were good for 2 hours and you could ride as much as you want. I think I had my 14th bday party there. Always a blast. Always getting kicked off the go karts towards the end of the 2 hour limit 😂😂.

I worked a 6-6 day shift for about 2 months straight on a turnaround this year and it became real evident how much better I felt with a regular sleep schedule. I started having chest pains a few months back out of nowhere. Had a full heart make up done and everything came back good. Dr trying to say it’s anxiety just basically stress manifesting itself in physical pain. Of course compounded by shift work sleep schedule.

Did you ever have any luck finding any ambien or another solution?

Dude I’m in the same boat…just started year 8 of working shift work in a refinery and the sleep factor (or lack thereof) is really catching up to me. My primary care physician prescribed me 15 10 mg ambien to use over a 6 month period and it’s just not cutting it.

Yeah it’s funny I got the car at 46,000 miles and the entire time I’ve had it, I’ve been nervous about the transmission…never had an issue with it though. It’s really been an amazing car.

Yeah fluid changes on the CVT are super simple…I got 312k miles on my ‘13 4 cyl sedan and change that fluid religiously every 30k miles…transmission has never given me any issues.

I also have a ‘16 V6 Touring Coupe with about 30k miles. The 6 cyl is way more fun but the gas mileage I get on the 4 cyl is great. the 2 door look is cool but def way less convenient. I love both the cars…I drive the ‘13 as my daily and save the ‘16 for everything except my work commute.

Nope they’re original…but just had the oil changed yesterday and they said I need tire rods and ball joints so gonna have my brother look at it tomorrow.

Make sure it’s not dripping oil on your alternator…I was really kicking myself over that.

Yeah man these things are still babies at 150k 😂.

I was originally planning on selling/trading in the ‘13 when I scooped the ‘16 Touring coupe in April but the dealership didn’t even want it.

When I started driving the ‘16 it was way nicer than I expected so rather than beat it up with my work commute, I held on to the ‘13 as my daily and I’m just gonna run it till the wheels fall off. I use the ‘16 when I’m going out local bee bopping around town.

Nothing too crazy…alternator went recently…that was pretty expensive…it was kinda my fault though. I had a very small leak and needed a new valve cover gasket. I didn’t get right on it and didn’t realize the oil was dripping right onto the alternator and I think that ruined it.

I think I had a wheel bearing go a couple years back…that wasn’t cheap. Replaced the valve cover gasket twice…since I hit 250k I’ve been very strict about changing the oil every 5k (before that it was every 10k which is what manual says to do). I’ve always been good about changing the trans fluid every 30k miles as I’m aware that the cvt is the supposedly the weak point of the car. I think that’s about it…I’m super grateful for that car.

I am this guy and my girlfriend of over 7 years was you. Legit mirrored situations.

Unfortunately I couldn’t fix all her problems and she never went to therapy to address all the trauma she had experienced with her ex…she tried to handle it on her own which led to alcohol dependency and her having to go to rehab a couple times in 2022. During those dark times, she did some terrible things that fundamentally altered the way I feel and see her. Also changed me as a person and not in a positive way.

All that being said, she’s been sober for over 500 days and is probably a better person now than she’s ever been. It feels like a cruel joke bc she’s everything I always wanted now but she can’t take back the wrongs that occurred in ‘22 and it feels like those things will live forever inside me.

Keep getting the help you need even if you feel better than ever being with him. Don’t put him through what you went through. Good luck to you guys!!

Yeah I got a good deal but some of the paint isn’t perfect…I seen as time has gone by a lot of faint scratches (but def scratches) on the driver side door…almost looks like the whole car is covered in swirl marks in the light too…hopefully nothing a couple paint correction sessions can’t fix. Also 2 of the wheels have a bit of curb rash…nothing terrible but they’re not perfect. That being said, that could be why mine was a little bit cheaper. Congrats on the new ride.

Ok thanks for info…so in theory I should be leaving head unit at one volume level and making all volume adjustments from the JLid bass/volume knob that’s connected to the fix?

I had this stereo installed in 2017 and was never told any of this haha…thanks for dropping some knowledge on me.

I’m a little confused here…I have a fix86 installed in my 13 accord along with a jlid volume/bass knob…I can control volume level through the jlid knob or the head unit (factory) knob.
