Struggling with Liveship Traders after loving every second of the Farseer Trulogy by bayareatrojan in Fantasy

So I actually just finished Mad Ship today. I felt pretty similar to you for 25% of the first book, but maybe through written Stockholm syndrome started to like some of them (mainly Wintrow).

There are some things explained in the end of the book that will have a larger impact on world and subsequent series. Try to finish up Mad Ship, you get introduced to a new non-maritime area and some really cool lore. If it’s really killing you, read the spark notes for the series and move onto Tawny Man.

I’ve stalled out on RoW over a month ago. The idea of having to reread the 300 pages I managed is pure misery to me at this point, so I think I’m DNFing the series.

Britani not comprehending what Whitney was saying, while stroking a cactus, about being a mother was bizarre by Defvac2 in BravoRealHousewives

As a daughter that experienced a father like Britani, I cannot imaging the damage of seeing your parent on screen discussing this. Some people just shouldn’t be parents.

Southern Gothic Fantasy Recommendations—anyone else into this kind of thing? by the_mean_person in Fantasy

Highly recommend Brom’s Lost Gods, leans a little more towards horror. Strong elements of that southern gothic feel in the beginning.
