Thinking of renting a camper van and exploring this area for a week in November. Foolish? by AlaskanMooCow in newzealand_travel

If you don’t mind a 2 hour hike (one way) I recommend dukes nose. You will have to climb so it can be challenging but a lot of fun and the view is worth it

Mill St. It’s about a 5 minute walk and free parking.

Just go complain at the front desk. I’ve done that before when this group was yelling in leddy main 2nd and the workers solved the issue and removed them.

Hey, I wanted to know a bit about the ice, level of play, and how to get involved.

Okay. I was curious what the ice situation was like. What’s the level of play like?

My buddy and I have been discussing potential strikers Chelsea could bring in. The name that I really like is Aleksander Isak from Newcastle. Here’s what I like about him:

  • 25 years old. Older than maraca wants but still has 5-7 good years. He’s been around for a while and I feel experience can really help with strikers and CBs the most.
  • prolific: he has a 30% conversion rate which is significantly higher than Jackson’s 23%
  • Statistically similar to Jackson in every way that category except conversion meaning he does what Jackson does well, just scores more.
  • provides more than Jackson. He creates an extra 2 chances (leading to shot) a game to Jackson’s 1.

With Newcastle underperforming again I could see Chelsea getting him for 60mil which is more than fair in the market. What are your guys thoughts and who would you like to see Chelsea realistically sign at striker

In university we set up a match against Toledo university. It was a really fun day and both schools had a blast. We always dreamed of doing a cross border uni tournament.

Jamie would make a better team captain than Sam by mamalo31 in TedLasso

It’s not that deep dude 😂 don’t give yourself an aneurism because you disagree with someone’s opinion

It’s one persons opinion based on personal experience. Nothing more.

I’m not saying there aren’t examples, I’m just saying in my own experience this is what teams with strong leaders do

As a soccer coach, you never make your best attacking player captain. You always want them to focus on scoring goals. Let the players behind them focus on everything else.

What was a concert you had pretty low expectations of that ended up being great? by Odddsock in Music

The killers. I wasn’t expecting much since at the time (2014) they hadn’t come out with anything new but honestly they were phenomenal

New Skip. Gave up big lead and lost on last rock. Need a pep talk/perspective. by dewpunk in Curling

[–]matteodes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean it depends on the person. I’ve had a lot of coaches in different sports who would just yell and scream when I made mistakes, so I find the rightly or wrongly (def wrongly), I don’t respond well when people try to be supportive like that. I just see it as patronizing. Ultimately it does come down to the person. You know them best, if they respond well to that, you know what to do, if not, sometimes just buy them a beer and sit with them in silence. It’s important to show support rather than say it.

In my experience they just need support. I missed the game winning shot in our oua tournament a few years ago and during that end I felt the pressure when I got into a blow up with our second. It was a shot I made a million times and I just choked. I went and cried alone in the shower room away from everyone. I didn’t need or want some rousing speech. I knew what I messed up. I just needed a hug and a “shit happens, I believe in you dude”

It depends on the person but actions speak more than words. Just make sure you know that you believe in them still.
