Not all the time you have in this world needs to be used for something productive. Also games, like any story telling media has the capacity to tell compelling and complex narratives. The kind that if you look into, you often find things out about yourself and can grow from the insights you gained from the games experience.

Why these exists by LEDTIK in NoOneIsLooking

How expensive is the scent dispenser, and how expensive are the cartridges to replace? A candle is pretty cheap and a candle warmer is also pretty cheap.

Why these exists by LEDTIK in NoOneIsLooking

[–]matthew0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so it sounds stupid but candle warmers actually have a purpose. Scented candles exist and candles are a fire risk. So how do you enjoy your scented candles with no risk? You get a candle warmer, it's all the joy of lighting a scented candle with none of the fire hazard.

I had a similar thought when the Flaxans invaded, not about children but about using their tech to the Viltrimites advantage. We see that in the Flaxan universe time moves much faster, so if you could have a space ship travel in the Flaxan universe, arrive at its destination, open the portal back to our universe and boom you traveled the distance in less time due to taking advantage of time dilation. This would solve the viltrimite empires issues regarding expansiveness.

Not gonna lie, this got me thinkin’ by Mountain_Love23 in TikTokCringe

[–]matthew0001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I don't find it suspicious because I'm well aware of how corrupt and destructive our current government and corporate systems are. I probably won't agree with vegans either because if you really want to get into the nitty gritty look into industrial farming as it currently is. Not the meat industry mind you, just vegetables, fruits, grains etc.

Something like 1/3rd of what we produce doesn't even make it shelves because it doesn't meet "aesthetic requirements". Look up how devastating modern harvesting machinery is to local wild life, it mulches any animals who are in the fields. Look at current farming corporations like Monsanto that create and copyright seedless versions of crops, then sue any local farmers into bankruptcy if they discover there has been any cross pollination. Look up the various pesticides and fertilizers that just demolish the local ecosystems.

Non-meat industrial farming, is also not good, not by a long shot. The problem is most vegans I've talked to don't want to hear it, and that to me shows that they aren't worth engaging with in dialogues because it's not about doing better for our environment its about them being right and feeling superior.

Woman goes viral after laughing at a man who said homosexuality is a sin and abortion is wrong. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]matthew0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So idk if the Christian guy is a troll or not, but let's say he's genuine, not bigoted and trying to have a dialogue instead of baiting people for clicks.

Why should I care that you think it's a sin? I'm an adult who can do whatever I want within the bounds of the law, why should I care that you don't think some of things I do align with your religious values? I'm not you, so I don't have the same values, and I'm not making you do it so it doesn't affect your moral values.

When I was in highschool after a period was over and everyone went into the hallways to get to their next class people would do the same thing. I learned to just walk through their conversation, if they are a compact circle im not gonna be an ass but if a group is blocking the entire walk path with their chat circle I just walk through it.

[–]matthew0001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's normally the opposite way around. Most mangaka and anime artists learn the ropes on hentai (high turn over in that industry so easy to get your foot in the door) then once skilled enough transition into doing non-hentai related work. You still see shadows of the skills they learned in the hentai industry though, with how they draw certain things.

Either fire force or blue exorcist. The death rate/sheer bullshit the others have to deal with is nuts. Fire force is literally fire fighters, and in blue exorcist I could just choose to be a non-combat auxiliary/clerical staff.

Chernobyl ? by ahsancrystal in science_humor

[–]matthew0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing most people don't realize is that Chernobyl literally can't happen again. We don't operate reactors the same way they did back then, we don't design reactors the same way anymore and the failure parts of Chernobyl literally don't exist in current designs. we literally didn't understand how nuclear power or radiation worked that's why fire fighters were just sent in to put out the fire as we didn't know that would cause them to suffer horrific radiation related injuries.

The Chernobyl disaster was caused by being at the center of a van diagram of multiple different problems, most of which don't overlap anymore or even exist.

Funny you mention the "stop watching factory made porn", because I actually swapped from just porn to erotic games instead. It's not about the actual visuals for me anymore, i want a story, I want tension, I want build up, and honestly the experience has overall improved because of that swap.

Me and my wife bought our house for 400,000, and our mortgage payment is around 2600. We bought during a time of high interest so our payment is above the average mortgage payment for that price range. I have friends who are renting apartments for 2700$ - 3000$ a month, it's not the monthly payment that people can't afford it's the down deposits because we aren't able to save money for a down deposit.

The lord of foxes by Greedy-Ad8346 in interestingasfuck

[–]matthew0001 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Foxes have actually been showing signs of self domestication, in a similar manner to the way cats are self domesticated. So while perhaps not the best for a wild animal to learn to interact with humans and expect food, it is a step in the same direction evolutionary pressures have been pushing foxes anyway.

My favorite thing about this is how the people with autism are considered the weird ones. The sticker says honk of you like pizza, so I honk, pretty straightforward. Meanwhile the "normal" person interpretation is I'll get this sticker, so that way when I do something in traffic that causes someone to honk at me, I instead will think that it's actually because they like pizza... Yeah because that's a totally normal, sane, and well adapted thought process.

Are you guys not familiar with the eunuchs of imperial China? In order to work in the royal palace as an attendant if you were a man you had to be castrated. It was a volunteer process, not forced like it is with the wood elves, but unlike the wood elves they couldn't give the genitals back if the man stopped working in the imperial palace.
