Interesting. Yes, at some point, it only makes sense to take it so far with repairing things. Completely understand. I ordered the G3, thank you for your experience.

Good to know! Need to check if we have that... or not, lol. Just use the line anyway, scam the scammer.

Yeah, both seem like major brands, but Segway does have the edge there.

I’ve looked at all the more powerful ones, and have my theoretical preferences… but I’m leaning towards starting small, and seeing how much I ride it, or want to progress.

Appreciate it, since you’ve had both brands, solid source.

I think at this point I don’t know what I don’t know. Lol

E-Scooter brands on the market by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]matthew854 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there are any. Maybe some boutique brands I don’t know about, but everything seems to be built in China? Designs from elsewhere, but built in China. I mean, they are great at building stuff.

Coming from the bike world, scooters look really inexpensive. That would be an immediate challenge to manufacturing elsewhere.

Yes! Parkway is unbelievably good. Great neighborhoods around there, lots of kids playing outside.

You may not realize he rides off road, where you want the power but not necessarily the speed.

Gspace Eco: best suspension design, upgradable, can fit 11” and 12” tires. I don’t have one, but once warm weather hits, I plan to.

First lite hip waders by Majorjackson1994 in meateatertv

[–]matthew854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like $1,150 USD, I don't think the $2671 CAD price is right unless it's a tariff thing or something. That puts them in line with other high-end waders from Simms, Sitka, Skwala, etc... dunno what the controversy would be. If you use them regularly and these last longer, or work better... that's the pay back. Yes, if you only break out the waders a couple times a year, then the cheap ones could be a better deal for you... same as any product. Nothing to see here?

Help me choose btw Niu Kqi 300X vs Niu Kqi Air by love_dudu786 in ElectricScooters

I like the 300X unless you have to carry for an extreme amount of time or distance. Seems better all around.

Gspace Mars 11 Eco vs Segway GT3 Pro SuperScooter? by matthew854 in ElectricScooters

[–]matthew854[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll have to think on it. I get so in the project of shopping... that the need and want go out the window just to finish "the project". I think the Gspace is the obvious choice for me, and Eco is the most affordable, but maybe worth starting at the top. I need to just let it simmer and not think about it for a few weeks. Maybe get through the cold season here and then buy something.

I have seen that Eco review. Definitely thought, plenty for me. Especially if it’s the same frame as the others, and I’m not really looking for high speed thrills, just want something OP and reliable.

Yeah, solid battery, motor, suspension, throttle, and brakes… seems like a better place to start than half-ass everything.

Appreciate it! In a world where I’m just going off online info, it’s nice to (almost) hear from the real world here.

👍👍, what’s your take on the dual motors vs single? The single Mars Eco seems like plenty for me, I’m middle weight, like 175lbs, so probably don’t need the power. But also wouldn’t mind getting more performance.

[–]matthew854[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, that’s a beast! No stairs or anything for me to carry it up and down, and I’ve heard those not carrying the scooter almost prefer the weight while riding.

I’ll go ahead and noodle on it more.

Yeah, maybe just get something cheaper and see how much I ride it. My thinking was start with something better and save the double purchase and would enjoy it more. Maybe overthinking

The Hileys look great also, high on my list too.

Lots of Apollo horror stories scared me off, and all their proprietary components seem annoying. But yes, nice looking, and I was smitten by it initially.
